Hello and welcome to another fun Blog Hop to celebrate Bronwyn Eastley's 60th Birthday!
This month we are CASEing a project from the Annual Catalogue from a page in the 60's.
This was a lot of fun!!
I settled on the very sweet card on page 61 with the Count on Me stamp set and that gorgeous bear with the heart. I changed it up by using the bear from the Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper. I adore this gorgeous DSP. Here is my card below.
- Start with an Old Olive card base measuring 21cm x 14.9cm scored and folded in half
- Cut another piece of Old Olive card stock to measure 10cm x 14.3cm and glue this to the card base
- Cut another piece of Old Olive card stock to measure 10cm x 10 cm and tear along the top and the bottom to create a torn edge
- Cut a piece of the DSP to measure 10cm x 7cm. Punch the heart in the right hand side of this DSP
- Cut a 6.5cm x 6.5cm piece of the DSP with the bear, flowers, butterflies and sprigs and glue this so that the bear is displayed in the heart
- Glue these layers to the torn Old Olive piece then glue to the card front
- Stamp the sentiment in Soft Suede ink on Basic White card stock and trim and banner the ends
- Cut a 10cm piece of the Sahara Sand Twill Ribbon and point the ends with scissors
- Attach the Sahara Sand ribbon to the bottom of the heart using Tear n Tape then use DImensionals to adhere the sentiment to the card front just above the ribbon
I really enjoyed making this card as I like using DSP to create a card every now and then. A pack of DSP goes a long way and this is a great way to use the left over pieces.
Next up on this months blog hop is my lovely friend Julia Quinn
