Stampers Showcase Blog Hop - Winter and Holidays

Hello and welcome to the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop for November.

This month we are creating a project with winter and holidays as our theme. I am loving the Joy of Noel and Christmas Classics Bundles! I can't stop thinking of projects to create with this suite.

I wanted to create a wintery scene to sit behind my wreath. I cut a piece of Starry Sky card stock and used a Blending Brush with Night of Navy ink to give dimension. I then flicked some Whisper White ink over the top using a paint brush. Setting it aside to dry before adhering it to a Night of Navy mat layer and card base with glue.

I cut 10 sprigs in Shaded Spruce and glued them together in a wreath before gluing them to the card centre. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark™ink on Basic Black card stock. Sprinkled with White Embossing Powder and set with the Heat Tool. I used scissors to trim the sentiment close to the letters before adhering to the top of the wreath with Dimensionals.

I tied some Real Red Ribbon in a bow and adhered below the sentiment using a Glue Dot. I glued 6 holly leaves and 9 red gems from the Loose Holly, Gems and Sequins for the finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Colour INKspiration #156

Hello and welcome to Colour INKspiration #156.

We have a wonderful colur palette for you this challenge. Perfect for your Christmas projects. This challenges inspiration picture was chosen by crew member Jan Clothier.

I coukldn't resist making a Christmas card eith this colour palette. My favourite Bundle this Christmas is  The Joy of Noel and it's coordinating bundle, Christmas Classics. The traditional images in this suite really appealed to me. I have teamed this suite with the amazing Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks. Another favourite from the mini catalogue. The variety of masks in this set is truly amazing. I hope you have had a good look at them and perhaps thought to add them to you mask collection.

My card came together very simply. The snowflake mask was used of the background mat. Using the snowflake mask with Embossing Paste and a Palette Knife I created this background on a Basic White piece of card stock and set it aside to dry.

I cut the scalloped edge piece of card stock using the Scalloped Contours Dies and Basic White card stock. I stamped the sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink on Basic White card stock ad die cut it with a stitched circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

I stamped the spray of leaves, holly and berries in Memento™Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured it in using both Shaded Spruce and Real Red Stampin' Blends. I then used the coordinating die to cut it out. I also cut four sprigs of greenery using Shaded Spruce card stock.

The snowflake layer was glued to a Basic White card base. The Scalloped layer was adhered to the centre of the card using Dimensionals. The sentiment circle was adhered to the top opf the Scalloped layer using Dimensionals.

The four Shaded Spruce Sprigs were glued to the base of the Scalloped layer with glue and the spray of leaves, holly and berries adhered over the top uisg Dimensionals. Then I tied a small bow in Real Red and adhered to the end of the pray of leaves, holly and berries using a Glue Dot.

I hope I have inspired you to be creative today!
