The challenge colours are so aesthetically pleasing together. I had envisioned a floral card but when I received my pre-order for our next catalogue, the Noel Tidings Bundle was particularly appealing. Does this ever happen to you? I am often drawn to creating using a bundle I initially considered unsuitable for the challenge colours. I appreciate traditional Christmas colours but also enjoy experimenting with non-traditional ones. So here is my non-traditional card!

The card base is Fresh Freesia. I then cut two Basic White Matt layers, one slightly smaller than the other. I used the Softly Woven 3-D Embossing Folder on the smaller piece. I glued these two pieces together.

I coloured Soft Sea Foam ink with a blending brush on Basic White card stock. I cut this piece with the rectangular wreath die. I then coloured another piece with Fresh Freesia and Blackberry Bliss ink. I die cut these two pieces with the sweet Berry dies.

I adhered the wreath to the card front using glue. I then adhered the berries on top of the wreath using Glue Dots ™. Then adhering the matt layers to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. 

On a piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock I stamped the greeting in. Versamark™ ink. Isprinkled white bossing powder on top before setting with the heat tool. I then cut the sentiment using the coordinating die from the bundle.

I tied a length of Linen Thread in a double bow and adhered to the top of the wreath using Glue Dots™. I then adhered the sentiment over the top of the bow and sentiment.

The crew has another fantastic colour challenge for you! I was so excited to play with these fun colours and create a card using products from the Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, I’d love for you to see it in the current catalogue. It has the most amazing stamps and dies that are perfect for both cards and scrapbooking. I especially love the fun butterflies and flowers. It all works so well together with the numbered note, there are so many ideas and ways to get creative.

My card base is Basic White card stock. I cut a matt layer of Basic White for my card front. I stamped the honeycomb stamp in Pool Party in and then used a Blending Brush to colour the honeycomb areas. The beauty of ink blending is that you don’t always have to colour within the stamped image to get a lovely result. 

I stamped the numbered note in Night of Navy ink on Basic White card stock and die cut it with the coordinating die.  I also stamped the butterflies, flowers , label and banner in Night of Navy ink on Basic White cards stock before die cutting them. The butterflies were coloured with Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends, The flowers Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends and the banner and tag in Pool Party Stampin’ Blends. 

I die cut a piece of Pool Party card stock with the small octagon die I kept both the centre and the outline to use. I die cut the larger octagon with the heart using Flirty flamingo card stock. I glued the small heart to the centre of the die cut banner. I die cut a piece of Calypso Coral using the scalloped die and glued this along the bottom of the note. On a piece of Basic White card stock I die cut the row of hearts after colouring the card stock using the light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. I used this piece under my sentiment.

This card features a variety of elements that were assembled with ease. The note is adhered using Dimensionals. The three die-cutting octagons are glued down, with the smallest positioned on the right-hand side of the note beneath the sentiment. The butterflies, flowers, Pool Party tag and banner are all adhered using Dimensionals. The card front was adhered to the card base using Dimensionals.

The sentiment was created using the Sweetly Sentimental Hot Foil Dies. I adhered this to the Flirty Flamingo strip of hearts using Dimensionals before gluing to the card front. The final touch are three Flirty Flamingo embellishments from the Array of Dots.

Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop - Rubber Band Technique Challenge

Hello And welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop for August 26.

The team have a wonderful technique to share with you today. It is called the Rubber Band technique. I’ve never tried this before, but it was lots of fun to design my own using this technique! I thought a pop of colour would be perfect for this challenge, and I wanted to make a Christmas card using the Woodland Wishes stamp set. I also wanted to pair it with the Nature’s Symphony Dies because I absolutely love the beautiful leaf die cut.

The card base is made from Shaded Spruce card stock. I’ve embossed a layer of Shaded Spruce card stock using the Forever Plaid 3-D embossing folder and then glued it onto the card base.

For the rubber band technique in my project, I wrapped three rubber bands of different sizes around a big acrylic block and stamped it with Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler ink on Basic White card stock. I played around with the ink to make a bit of a pattern. Then, I used a blending brush to gently shade the stamped card with Shaded Spruce ink. Finally, I cut it into a 1 cm x 8 cm piece to put on the card front.

Next, I used the Nature’s Symphony dies to cut out some pieces. I die cut the lovely leaves using Shaded Spruce card stock and the woody image using Crumb Cake card stock. 

I stamped the bear in Pecan Pie ink and then proceeded to colour it in using Pecan Pie and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I stamped the bear with Pecan Pie ink and then coloured it in with Pecan Pie and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. Finally, I fussy cut this adorable little bear.

I started by placing the leaves on the left side of the embossed plaid layer and sticking them down with glue. Next, I added the strip of coloured card stock, followed by the crumb cake piece and finally the bear on top. I used Dimensionals to hold all three layers in place.

I stamped the sentiment onto some Shaded Spruce card stock using Versamark™ ink. Then, I sprinkled white embossingpowder and set it with the heat tool. I used the three banner punch to cut out the sentiment. Next, I cut a length of linen thread, tied it in a bow and glued it to the edge of the woody piece of card stock. Finally, I adhered the sentiment using Dimensionals.

To finish it off, I added three Crumb Cake Pearls of Beauty embellishments.
