Stampers Showcase Blog Hop - 2020 Catalogue

Hello and welcome to my post for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop.

This month we are showcasing products from the 2020 Annual Catalogue.

Well....it was tough to decide what to create for this challenge as I have a few new products to choose from.  I settled on creating with the stunning Whale of a Time Suite. My card was created with the beautiful Whale of a Time 6"x6" Designer Series Paper and Whale Done Bundle. I love how fresh and bright the card turned out. It came together very quickly too!

  1. Start with a Just Jade card base measuring 21cm x 14.9cm scored and folded in half.
  2. Cut another piece of Just Jade card stock to measure 10.2cm x 14.6cm for the matt.
  3. Cut the Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper with the crabs along the bottom to measure 10cm x 14.4cm. Glue this to the matt layer and allow to dry.
  4. Stamp the school of fish from the Whale Done stamp set in Just Jade ink on the piece of DSP.
  5. Then stamp the sentiment in Just Jade.
  6. Stamp the air bubbles for the Turtle in Pacific Point.
  7. Cut the pretty blue Turtle from the Turtle Designer Series Paper using paper snips. Using Dimensionals adhere the Turtle so that it looks like air bubbles are coming from its mouth.
  8. Using glue adhere three of the  Flirty Flamingo Shells from the Whale of a Time sequins to the sea bed on the right side of the card.
  9. Use dimensionals to place the card front up on the card base.

Colour INKspiration #80

Hello and welcome to my blog post for Colour INKspiration #80!

Another gorgeous inspiration photo for this challenge.

I have had the Forever Fern Bundle for just over a week now and wanted to use it for this challenge. The distinctive stamps in this set are stunning but I have decided to limit my stamping as the leaf flourishes in the Forever Flourishing Die bundles are equally as stunning.

  1. Start with a Crumb Cake card base measuring 21cm x 10.5cm scored and folded in half.
  2. Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock to measure 10.cm x 14.2cm for your matt layer.
  3. Then cut another piece of Whisper White to measure 14.2cm x 4.5cm. Run this piece through your die cutting machine using the Greenery Embossing Folder.
  4. Adhere a 14.2cm piece of Purple Posy Scalloped Ribbon trim along one side of the embossed piece with Tear & Tape.
  5. Glue this to the Whisper White matt layer and then to the card base.
  6. Stamp the bud image in Rococo Rose ink and the Sentiment in Crumb Cake  on Whisper White card stock.
  7. Die cut the Rococo Rose bud with the coordinating die.
  8. Die cut the sentiment with a layering circle die. Then cut the next size up scalloped circle in Whisper White. Use dimensionals to pop the sentiment layer up on the scalloped circle piece.
  9. Die cut the leaf images in Soft Sea Foam card stock.
  10. Die cut the Purple Posy card stock using what I think is more bud images strung together.  Cut this piece into three separate pieces.
  11. Using glue dots adhere the leaves and flora to the left hand side of the card.
  12. Using dimensionals adhere the sentiment layer to the top of the leaves and flora layer.

Have a good week and stay well!

Kylie's Demonstrator Training Program Monthly Team Blog Hop June

Hello and welcome to my June blog post for Kylie's Demonstrator Training Program Monthly Team Blog Hop!

For todays hop I have used the very versatile Timeless Tropical and the Sailing Home Stamp Sets to create a beautiful scene. We all are thinking of being somewhere on holiday given the current restrictions due to the global pandemic. I know I am!!

  1. Start with a Pacific Point card base measuring 21cm x 14.9cm scored and folded in half.
  2. Cut a Basic Black pice of card stock to measure 10cm x 14.4cm for a mat layer. Then cut a piece of whisper White to measure 9.4cm x 13.8cm.
  3. Using the Circle Layer Dies cut a sticky note out using the smallest die. Make sure that some of the sticky is part of the circle.
  4. Use this to mask the part of the Whisper White card stock where you would like the moon to be located and secure it to the Whisper White card stock.
  5. Using the Whisper White card stock and sponge brayers create the background by brayering the Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Gorgeous Grape then Night of Navy in that order and blending each colour into the one above. Once complete remove the moon mask sticky note.
  6. Stamp the palm trees and birds in Memento™ Tuxedo Black. If you don't have the bird stamp you could easily draw them in using a black fine marker.
  7. Glue this layer to the mat Basic Black layer and then tot the card base. Set aside to dry.
  8. Stamp the sentiment on a piece of Basic Black card stock using Versamark™ ink. Sprinkle with the White Embossing Powder and set with the heat tool. Fussy cut the sentiment with your paper snips.
  9. Use mini dimensionals to secure to the card front.

Colour INKspiration #79

Hello and welcome to my blog post for the Colour INKspiration #79!

We have some beautiful colours for this challenge and it was fun creating my project with these colours! Check out the inspiration image below.

One of my favourite stamp sets of all time is Beautiful friendship. I decided to create my card with this stamp set as it is so easy to use and create simple and quick cards. I moved a few weeks ago and time to create has been limited. I have a lovely new space to create in and I am working on getting everything set up. I may even do a blog post about my craft room set up once it is all in place.

  1. I started with a Very Vanilla card base measuring 21cm x 14.9 cm scored and folded in half.
  2. I then cut another piece of Very Vanilla to measure 10cm x 14.4cm.
  3. I stamped the flower in Merry Merlot with Blackberry Bliss centres and the leaves in Pretty Peacock. I stamped off for the lighter leaf images.
  4. I then ran this through my Big Shot™ with the Subtle 3D embossing Folder. I love the look that this gives to the cardstock and the image. A vintage look.
  5. Stamp the sentiment in Night of Navy on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and fussy cut it out.
  6. Run a piece of the Gold Twine from the Forever Greenery Combo Tri Pack around the floral image twice and secure at the back with Tear & Tape.
  7. Secure the Pretty Peacock Scallop linen Ribbon with Tear & Tape to both top and bottom of the floral image with a small amount of the Pretty Peacock lace detail showing.
  8. Secure this layer to the card base using Dimensionals.
  9. Use Dimensionals to pop the sentiment upon top of the gold twine.
  10. Place three of the Gilded Gems to the areas around your floral image!

I hope you have enjoyed reading about how this card came together. The floral image in this stamp set is stunning and you could stamp the images on a card base and the sentiment to the side to make it much simpler or if you don't have the ribbons and gems. I love this stamp set so much that I won't be parting with it ever.

I hope that you are getting on okay as we all come out of the Covid situation. I know all countries are up to different stages at the moment depending on their unique situation. Please take good care and thanks for stopping by to read my blog post. You are appreciated!
