Crew member Rachael Lewsley found this beautiful image for this challenge. What a gorgeous arrangement for inspiration!

When I saw the beautiful image I decided to use the Jar of Flowers stamp set. So not only did I get colour inspiration but I chose my stamp set as the flowers are in what looks to be a jar. The kitchen looks amazing in the background of the image too!

  1. Start with a Misty Moonlight card base Measuring 21cm x 14.9cm
  2. Cut a piece of Very Vanilla Card stock to measure 10 x 14.3 cm and run this through your Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine to emboss with the Tasteful Textile Folder. Glue this to the card base
  3. Die cut the second largest Scalloped Rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies in Misty Moonlight
  4. Cut a piece of Very Vanilla card stock to measure. Glue this to the Misty Moonlight scalloped rectangle and then to the card base. Stamp the sentiment in Misty Moonlight in the bottom right hand corner of this layer
  5. Stamp the Jar in Seaside Spray on Very Vanilla card stock then stamp the half jar stamp in Seaside Spray. Stamp the stems in Crumb Cake and colour with Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends. Punch out with the Jar Punch
  6. Stamp the Sunflowers in Crumb Cake and Colour with Mango Melody and Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends. Fussy cut this arrangement
  7. Using Dimensionals adhere both the jar and floral arrangement to the scalloped layer
  8. Tie a length of Linen thread in a bow and adhere to the base of the arrangement with glue as in photo
  9. Select three Mango Melody sequins from the Artistry Blooms Sequins and secure to the card front as in image

The card looks so lovely in Misty Moonlight and Very Vanilla. I always love anything Navy and White and this is close to that look with the Mango Melody to brighten things up. Not a colour combination that I would have otherwise put together but I am so very happy with how things turned out.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. You are appreciated!

Have a creative week!

Stampers Showcase Blog Hop | With Thanks and Gratitude

Hello and welcome to my blog post for the February Stampers Showcase Blog Hop! Many demonstrators from around the world get together to inspire you each month. This months theme is with thanks and gratitude. I love to have these cards on hand for when the time comes to thank someone. It is so lovely to receive a thank  you card and I love giving them as much as receiving them. I am always so touched when someone opens one of my cards and is so appreciative of the time that I put into creating just for them.

Here is my card for this months hop. I have created it using the soon to be released Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper. This belongs to a new Collection called Butterfly Brilliance available from March 2 for customers. The Designer Series Paper is just so beautiful and I have cut the butterfly out of it using the coordinating Brilliant Wings Dies. Making the perfect centrepiece for this card.

  1. Start with a Bermuda Bay card base measuring 21cm x 14.9cm scored and folded in half
  2. Cut another piece of Bermuda Bay Card stock to measure 10cm x 14.3cm
  3. Cut a piece of the Bermuda Bay design in the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper to measure 9.7cm x 14cm and glue this to the Bermuda Bay piece measuring 10cm x 14.3cm
  4. Die cut the label using the die from the Stitched So Sweetly Die in Basic White
  5. Die cut the Blue Butterfly from the Designer Series paper using the Butterfly Brilliance Die
  6. Tie two lengths of Linen Thread around the top third of the DSP layer and secure at the back using Tear n' Tape
  7. Using Dimensionals secure the Basic White Label to DSP layer at the top of the Linen Thread
  8. Secure the butterfly to the label using Dimensionals
  9. Stamp the sentiment from the Kangaroo & Company stamp set in Versamark™ ink on Basic Black card stock. Sprinkle with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and set with the heat tool
  10. Use the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch to create a little tag. Secure this to the right hand side of the label with a Dimensionals
  11. Tie the Linen Thread in a double bow and secure to the top of the little tag using glue
  12. Arrange three of the Coastal Cabana sequins from the Artistry Blooms Sequins on the Bermuda Bay DSP layer

I hope you like my creation for this months hop. I enjoyed creating with it. It was my first creation with this beautiful new collection. I am sure that it will be a big hit with my class ladies and customers. We will be using it in all of my March classes so I am planning to get creating with it this week.

Here is a look at the inside of my card. So easy to decorate with left over DSP pieces!

Paper Adventures Guest Designer | Hearts

Hello and welcome to my blog.

Today I am very excited to be the Guest Designer for Kelly Kent's amazing Paper Adventures Team Blog Hop. Thanks to Narelle Simm for inviting me. This is the second time I have been asked to join them and I am as excited today as I was the first time! It is so lovely to be part of this wonderful, supportive and connected group of demonstrators both in Australia and around the globe. Stampin' Up!® demonstrators are just the loveliest people.

The theme for this months Paper Adventures Blog Hop is "Hearts". February is all about Valentines Day and Love so hearts is a lovely theme for this month. It didn't take me long for an idea to pop into my head to create a Birthday card for a special friend using the stunning Always in my Heart bundle. She lives interstate and the sentiment was perfect for this card, which is now in the post as it is her birthday next week. I am sure she will love it!

I felt it best to keep the colour palette simple and let the Floral Heart die cut pieces do all the magic as they are so elegant and beautiful. The card base, die cut heart and floral heart is in Blushing Bride Card Stock. The die cut banner and background layer is in Basic White Card Stock. I stamped the sentiment on the die cut heart, then heat embossed using White Stampin' Emboss Powder and set with the heat tool. I layered the banner under the heart and positioned the Heart Charm on the left side with a Basic White bow from the Snail Mail Twine.  It was very simple to put together and I love the clean look of the card.

I have thoroughly enjoyed creating for the Paper Adventures Blog Hop and I hope you like my project too! I am sure it will be a hit with my friend as she loves my handmade cards.

I am so looking forward to seeing what each of the Paper Adventures Team creates with the hearts theme. Make sure that you click on the next button to keep hopping. Next up on the hop is the lovely Narelle Simm. She is sure to have a wonderful project to share with you today.

Thanks again to the Paper Adventures Team for their kind invitation to join them as Guest Designer this month. I am really honoured to join them all.

Happy Crafting lovely people!
