Stampers Showcase Blog Hop - It's your Birthday

Hello and welcome to my blog post for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop!

This months theme is "It's Your Birthday"!

I have created my card using the Under My Umbrella Bundle, The Label Me Bold Stamp set, Stitched So Sweetly Dies and the pretty new Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. I think the Embossing Folder complements the flowers from the Under My Umbrella stamp set.

  1. Start by cutting s Pool Party card base measuring 21cm x 14.9 cm. Score it and fold it in half.
  2. Then cut a Pool Party card stock matt measuring 10cm x 14.4 cm
  3. Then cut another Pool Party Piece to measure 9.7cm x 14.1cm. Then run in through your Big Shot™ using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder - so pretty!
  4. Glue the Ornate Floral 3D Embossed layer to the matt layer then pop these glued layers up on the card base using dimensionals.
  5. Die cut using Whisper White card stock, the second largest Stitched So Sweetly die.
  6. Stamp the umbrella, flower and handle image in Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White card stock.
  7. Colour the flowers and the Umbrella using the Rococo Rose Stampin' Blends. Then the Leaves with the Pool Party Stampin' Blends. Punch out the Umbrella and Handle with the Umbrella Builder Punch. Fussy cut the flowers with your paper snips.
  8. Stamp the scribble image twice on the lower left hand side of you Stitched So Sweetly Whisper White card stock.
  9. Glue the handle to the Umbrella and pop this up on the scribble image using dimensionals. Pop the flowers at the top of left hand side of the umbrella.
  10. Stamp the sentiment in  Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White card stock. Cut out using Stampin' Trimmer. Using mini dimensionals pop this up on the right hand side of the umbrella.
  11. Tie the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon in a small bow and secure to the handle of the umbrella using a glue dot rolled over in half.
  12. Pop the Stitched So Sweetly layer up on the Embossed Pool party layer using dimensionals.

Social Stamping Blog Host - Hello

Hello and welcome to my Social Stamping Blog Host!

Thanks to the amazing Kelly Kent for this opportunity to join with other amazing demonstrators to bring you some great creativity. I know you will love every post!

The theme for this Blog post is "Hello"!

I have had A Little Lace stamp set for a while and this is the perfect opportunity to showcase its versatility. I have chosen this set for the sweet sentiment that reads "Just a little note to say HELLO".

I have been on a bit of a gingham roll for a few weeks now and truly enjoy creating with this pretty Designer Series Paper. The new Ornate Borders Dies will be available for customers to purchase next month and these dies are just amazing and the perfect addition to any gingham you use on your card.

  1. Cut a card base of Pool Party Card Stock to measure 21cm x 14.9cm. Score and fold in half.
  2. Cut another piece of  Pool Party Card Stock to measure 10cm x 14.4 cm for your Pool Party matt layer.
  3. Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock to measure 8.5cm x 14.4cm for your white lace edged layer.
  4. Cut the Pool Party DSP gingham to measure 6.5cm x 14.4cm.
  5. Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock to measure 7cm x 7cm. Stamp the floral image from the A Little Lace stamp sent in Pool Party on this piece and die cut with the second largest Stitched Circle die.
  6. Place the lace edge die from the Ornate Border Dies on the very edge of the 14.4cm side of your Whisper White lace edged layer and die cut. Repeat on the other side of the Whisper White layer.
  7. Glue the Gingham DSP to this layer and then glue this to your matt layer of Pool Party. Then glue these layers to the Pool Party card base and set aside to dry.
  8. Cut a 10cm x 2cm piece of Pool Party card stock and rub with the embossing buddy.
  9. Using Versamark ™ink stamp the sentiment on the small piece of Pool Party card stock. Sprinkle White embossing powder over the top and set with the heat tool.
  10. Cut this down using your Stampin' Trimmer.
  11. Pop the floral Stitched Shape up on dimensionals on the DSP layer.
  12. Glue the sentiment to the base of the stitched circle layer. I did not secure with mini dimensionals but you could if you prefer.

I hope you like this card. It was great to be distracted from social isolation this week
in my craft room. I have missed my ladies who attend my classes this week.

Colour INKspiration #74

Hello and welcome to my blog.

Time for another Colour INKspiration Challenge to inspire your creativity.

This photo was taken by the lovely Simone Bartrum in beautiful Mykonos.

Under my Umbrella is one of the sweetest stamp sets in the Mini Catalogue. And I thought the colours for this challenge worked perfectly with the sentiment that I chose.

  1. Start with a Night of Navy card base measuring 21cm x 14.9cm scored and folded in half.
  2. Cut a Whisper White matt layer to measure 10cm x 14.4cm.
  3. Then cut a Night of Navy Mat to 9.7cm x 14.1cm.
  4. Then another Whisper White  piece of Card Stock to 9.5cm x 13.9cm for your front layer.
  5. Stamp the Raindrops in Versamark™ink and sprinkle White Stampin' Emboss Powder over the top of raindrops and set with heat tool.
  6. Use a sponge Brayer to sponge some Night of Navy invoker the top of the raindrops ensuring that you leave some of the outer areas white.
  7. Glue the three matt layers together with glue then glue to the card base with the raindrops layer on the top.
  8. Stamp the Umbrella in Night of Navy ink and the Handle in Basic Grey ink then punch out with the coordinating punch.
  9. Stamp the boots in Mango Melody ink and fussy cut them.Colour the Umbrella in with Night of Navy Stampin' Blends and then use the Colour lifter to create dots on the Umbrella for a polka dot look.
  10. Stamp the Boots in Mango Melody and then colour with the Mango Melody Stampin' Blends.
  11. Stamp the Sentiment in Basic Grey at the bottom right of the raindrops.
  12. Attach the Handle to the Umbrella using glue.
  13. Pop both the Umbrella and Boots up on the front of the cards using dimensionals.
  14. Place 5 of the clear epoxy droplets around the Umbrella and Boots

I enjoyed using these colours together and I must admit that I would not have put these colours together if not for this challenge. I am really happy with how vibrant the card looks. The boots remind me of the gumboots I wore on a wet day to school as a little girl.

Thank you for reading my blog today. I really appreciate you.

I just want to let you know that we are in the final days of Sale-A-Bration for 2020 so if you have not ordered yet there is still time.

I wish you and your family good health at the moment. It is great to see so many people staying home to reduce the number of people contracting Coronavirus. It is the perfect time to get creative. Who knows you may have time to create a years worth of cards or just send a card to people who are feeling isolated or friends you won't have that coffee catch up with.

Take care!

Tags In Bloom Card

Hello and welcome to my blog!

I am sure that many of you are staying home as much as you can at this time. We are so overloaded with information at the moment about the Coronavirus....on the TV and on Social Media. I am very thankful that I can turn my mind to crafting and escape for a while. It has been well documented that being creative is good for your mental health, especially when feeling stressed or anxious. Escaping to my craft room has been the best medicine this week. And.....you probably all know....that I have been preparing for this self isolation for years. But, my favourite thing to do is gather my dear friends and get together for a craft, lunch and giggle session. That won't be happening anytime soon.

Today when I went to the craft room I just wanted to create a card to give to a friend to say thank you. I decided to use the stunning Tags in Bloom stamp set. This stamp set is available during Sale-A-Bration as a FREE item until the end of the month. The Tags in Bloom stamp set is so easy to work with and coordinates with a lot of sentiment stamps that you may have in your stash. Also, it is easy to colour with the stamps and ink, Stampin' Blends, Watercolour Pencils or ink and an Aqua Painter! This card came together in the blink of an eye - sometimes we need a go to stamp set to make something in under 15 minutes and The Tags in Bloom stamp set is perfect for those occasions.

  1. I started with a Sahara Sand Card base measuring 14.8cm x 21cm scored and folded in half.
  2. Cut a piece of Sahara Sand Card Stock to measure 14.4cm x 10cm.
  3. Cut a piece of Petal Pink Card Stock to measure 14.1cm x 9.7cm.
  4. Cut the Check Petal Pink Designer Series Paper to measure 13.8cm x 9.4cm.
  5. Glue the last three layers together with multipurpose glue or adhesive of your choice. The DSP on top of the Petal Pink layer and then glue those layers to the Sahara Sand layer.
  6. On a pice of Whisper White Card Stock stamp the floral layer in Sahara Sand ink. Colour that in with the Petal Pink, Soft Seafoam and So Saffron Stampin' Blends. Then fussy cut this out.
  7. Stamp the sentiment from the  Bloom and Grow stamp set in Sahara Sand ink and then stamp the stitched label in Sahara Sand ink around the sentiment.  Punch this out with the Label Me Lovely Punch. Pop this layer up on top of the floral layer using dimensionals.
  8. Wrap the Linen Ribbon with White edges around the Petal Pink DSP layer and secure behind the Sahara Sand layer with Tear & Tape.
  9. Mount the sentiment/floral layer on top using dimensionals.
  10. Pop the card from up on the Sahara Sand card base using dimensionals.

I enjoyed my time being creative today and writing this blog post.

I hope you are well and finding ways to exist and relax under these difficult circumstances that the whole world face. We will get through it if we pull together and look after each other. I am also checking on neighbours, family and friends at this time. A card in the mail is a lovely way to show someone that you care, especially when hugs, handshakes and, sadly, card classes are taboo.
