Stampers Showcase Blog Hop - Let's Hear it for the Boys!

Hello and welcome to the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop for August. This month the theme is Let's Hear it for the Boys! I always need more masculine cards. So I love an opportunity to make them for a blog hop. The Trucking along Bundle is perfect for so many occasions including masculine birthdays. I have created a beach themed card this time. A cute truck with some fun summer items in the back. I am thinking of summer now actually as our winter weather has been so warm you would swear summer will be next week.

I have used a Basic White card base and let the Coastal Cabana Designer Series Paper create the summer feel. I love Castal Cabana and could imagine a truck, or as we say in Australia, a Ute in this colour. I can imagine it parked by the ocean and someone checking out the surf.

I have used one of the circle punches to die cut the Basic White layer and Die cut a slightly larger circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Glue both together, then glue to the card centre. The truck and Palm tree etc is stamped in Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink. Then coloured in using the colours below. Punch out the truck and fussy cut the palm tree etc. I have stamped the lines on the Vellum layer in Crumb Cake ink before adhering the Truck and palm tree etc with Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Something Fancy Bundle. I have heat embossed the sentiment in White Embossing Powder on Basic Black card stock before adhering using Dimensionals. I have kept this card very simple as I think the truck and its contents are just the cutest!

Colour INKspiration #150

Hello and welcome to Colour INKspiration #150

🎉🎉🎉🥳🥳🥳🎉🎉🎉🥳🥳🥳🎉🎉🎉

Let the party begin to celebrate our 150th Colour Challenge. The crew arre such a fabulous and supportive bunch of creative people. I love how so many people are inspired by our colour palette each challenge. It is a great way to start a card using the colour palettes and inspiration image.

The lovely Lou Kitzelman has chosen this gorgeous image for our 150th challenge! Lou is the most wonderful lady who organises these challenges with some help from the crew each month too. She does an amazing job.

I was inspired by the inspiration image and felt some blooms on a card front would be a fun way to celebrate this challenge. I have use the Two Toned Flora Bundle for its glorious foral images.

The card base is Pretty Peacock as this would truly make the colourful blooms pop. The large die cut from the Two Toned Flora Dies was the perfect choice for a background. I then set about stamping the blooms and mixing the colours in each bloom  Sweet Sorbet with Calypso Coral and Pumpkin Pie and Sweet Sorbet. I stamped more than I needed so that I would have a large selection to choose from. I stamped the leaves in Old Olive ink. After Die Cutting all the pieces I arranged them pon the card base and adhered them with Dimensionals and glue.

I cut a long length of the Gold Elegaant Trim and tied it in a double bow and secured it to the centre of the blooms and adhered it with Seal+. I cut the sentiment out in Gold Foil and the surround in Pretty Peacock before gluing them together and adhering them with Dimensionals to the centre of the blooms on top of the trim. I secured three of the Pretty Peacock Adhesive backed sequins around the blooms to complete my card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. You are appreciated!
