Colour INKspiration #100

Hello and a huge welcome to the

100th Colour INKspiration Challenge!

I am so excited to be part of this amazing crew for this fantastic achievement.

Colour INKspiration was founded by Bronwyn Eastley in 2017. She put together a crew of 25. We still have 8 original members on the Colour INKspiration Crew and our first challenge, CI#01, was on January 11, 2017. So the Challenges have been going for over four years now.

Well.... we have a beautiful inspiration image for this 100th Challenge with some of my favourite colours to create with. What a stunning image! The image was chosen by Bronwyn Eastley and the picture credit belongs to Bridestowe Lavender Farm in Tasmania.

I have used the fun Puffin Party stamp set to help celebrate the 100th Challenge. It is such a sweet and fun stamp set to create with. I have used some products that are in the Mini Catalogue that ends on the 30th June. Please see bottom of post for all products used for my project.

  1. Start with a Bermuda Bay card base measuring 21cm x 14.9 cm scored and folded in half
  2. Cut another piece of Bermuda Bay card stock to measure 10cm x 14.3cm for a matt layer
  3. Cut a piece of the Bermuda Bay Snail Mail Designer Series Paper to measure 9.7cm x 14.6cm and glue this to the Bermuda Bay Matt layer
  4. Die cut a Circle and Scalloped Circle from the layering Circle Dies in Basic White card stock. Glue them together
  5. Stamp the puffin and cake in Memento™Tuxedo Black Ink on Basic White card stock. Cut using the Bermuda Bay and Magenta Madness Stampin Blends and Gorgeous Grape Stampin' Write Marker. Fussy cut both images out and using Dimensionals adhere to the top of the scalloped/circle layer
  6. Run two strands of White Twine around the upper third of the DSP layer and secure at the back with tape then glue the layers to the card base
  7. Adhere the scallop circle layer to the upper centre of the card with Dimensionals
  8. On a scrap piece of Bermuda Bay card stock stamp the sentiment in Versamark™ink, sprinkle with White embossing powder and set with the heat tool. Cut close to the sentiment using your trimmer and banner at the end as above. Secure to the bottom of the scallop circle layer on the left hand side using Dimensionals.
  9. Finish the card off by adhering three of the white resin hearts

This was such a fun colour palette to use and one of my all time favourites.

Make sure that you check out the crews posts on our Facebook page here and also join us if you feel inclined by playing along. We would love you to upload your image to the Colour INKspiration Challenge Facebook group for this our 100th Challenge.

Have a wonderful week

Around the World on Wednesdays | Fancy Folds

Hello and welcome to my blog post for the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop!

You may have hopped here from my friend Jan Clothier!

Each month this wonderful group brings you gorgeous projects to help spark your creativity. The participants live all over the world and love to get together each month for this fun blog hop.

This months theme is Fancy Folds!

I have chosen the stunning Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper to create my Fancy Fold Card. This paper is just so beautiful, I could not resist using it for this months project. There are the most beautiful pansies on one side and gingham, stripes and polkadots on the reverse side. And this is just the Designer Series Paper.....wait until you see the Pansy Punch Bundle!!

  1. Start with a Polished Pink card base measuring 10.5 cm x 29.7cm. Score at 14.9cm then cut 7.5cm off the front of the card. The fold should be on the left hand side of the card
  2. Cut a piece of the DSP to measure 10cm x 14.3cm and glue to the back of the inside of the card
  3. Cut another 2 pieces of DSP to measure 10cm x 7cm and glue one to the front of the card. The other will get glued to the opening inside layer of the card as displayed below in image
  4. Cut another piece of Polished Pink card stock to measure 21cm x 7.5cm. Score and fold in half
  5. Using Tear n  Tape attach a long piece of Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon to the back of the card stock above ensuring that a 10cm end is on the left hand side of the  card stock
  6. Glue this Polished Pink layer on the back of the card with the fold on the right hand side
  7. Cut two pieces of Basic White card stock to measure 10cm x 7cm. Emboss one with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and glue to the front of the Polished Pink right hand opening layer and the plain piece of Basic White to the inside of the card as shown below
  8. Fussy cut the Pansy with stem and glue to the Basic White plain card stock inside the card
  9. Fussy cut the Pansy and leaf images from the DSP and arrange on the embossed layer and secure with dimensionals
  10. Stamp the sentiment from the Many Messages stamp set in Versamark™ ink on Basic Black card stock then sprinkle White Embossing Powder over the top and set with the Heat Tool. Die cut with the Messages Die. Use dimensionals to secure to the bottom right hand side of Pansies
  11. Secure three of the In Colour Polished Pink Jewels around the Pansies
  12. Tie the ribbon in bow to close the card
