Colour INKspiration #72

Hello and welcome to the Colour INKspiration #CI72 challenge!

The colours for this challenge are stunning! And I think they will work with most stamp sets too. I hope you join in on the challenges with us. We love seeing what everyone comes up with!

I have used the Sale-A-Bration items called Thoughtful Blooms and the Small Bloom Punch for this challenge.

I started with a Calypso Coral card base measuring 21cm x 14.8cm scored and folded in half. I have then cut a piece of Whisper White card stock to 10cm x 4.4cm and the Calypso coral Designer Series Paper to 9.8cm x 14.2cm. I glued the DSP to the Whisper White Matt layer.

Used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to cut out the two labels in Whisper White. Stamping the sentiment from the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set in Pretty Peacock.

I cut a piece if the versatile Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and Coloured it with the Dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blend. Such a great technique to get the perfectly matching ribbon for your project. I placed this around the DSP and Whisper White card stock layer and secured it to the back using tape.

I stamped the floral and greenery images in all the colours for this challenge. Punched out the flowers and fussy cut the rest. Then I set about arranging thee flowers and leaves using glue and dimensionals to adhere. I placed a Calypso Coral Happiness Blooms enamel dot in the centre of the flowers. I also placed 3 Pretty Peacock sequins from the Woven Threads Sequin Assortment around the sentiment.

I tied some more of the Calypso Coral ribbon around the right hand side of the sentiment and then tied a bow with the Whisper White Solid Bakers Twine.

I love this colourful card. I really love the gingham DSP too!

Have a fantastic week!

Stampers Showcase Blog Hop - SALE-A-BRATION!

Hello and welcome to the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop for February.

This month we are showcasing Sale-A-Bration products. These are products you can earn for free with a qualifying purchase from until the end of March 2020. There are some amazing products available to customers this year.

I have chosen the Happy Birthday To You stamp set!  This is a beautiful stamp set for Birthdays and Other Occasions. Stampin' Up!®  have also designed coordinating dies for this stamp set making it a bundle you will want to use over and over!

I started with a Bermuda Bay card base measuring 21cm x 14.85cm scored and folded in half.

I then cut a piece of Whisper White card stock to 10cm x 14.4cm and embossed it using the lovely Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder. This creates a stunning embossed weave in your card stock. I glued this to the Bermuda Bay card base.

I then cut a piece of Bermuda Bay Card Stock with the rectangle frame die from the Heirloom Frames Dies and then Embossed it with the Coordinating 3D Embossing Folder. I then used Dimesensionals to  adhere it to the Whisper White Coastal Weave layer.

I stamped the cake from the Happy Birthday To You stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink and die cut it with the coordinating Birthday Die. I coloured the flowers with the Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends and the Leaves in using the Old Olive Stampin' Blends. I adhered this to the right hand side of the frame using dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark™on Basic Black Card Stock. I sprinkled the White Embossing Powder over the top and set it using the Heat Tool. I fussy cut the sentiment out with my paper snips. I glued this to the frame and cake layer.

I finished my card of by glueing three Coastal Cabana sequins for the Iridescent Sequin Assortment to the card. The card came together quickly and I have used Bermuda Bay, Basic Black and Whisper White as these colour just pop when used together.

Colour INKspiration #71

Hello and welcome to the Colour INKspiration #CI71 challenge!

How beautiful is this inspiration photo. So pretty!

I have been enjoying watercoloring lately. I have found it difficult to get in the craft room due to the oppressive heat and humidity. I don't have an air conditioner and we all know that paper crafts and a fan don't work well together.

I have chosen the Peaceful Moment dies to create my card. These dies are truly magnificent. I die cut the images out of Fluid 100 watercolour card stock then coloured them in with the ink and an Aqua painter. You can work out colours used in the list of inks used below.

I also cut one of the poppy outline flowers out in Vellum and used the Highland Heather ink and the Aqua painter to colour. This gives such a softness of colour to my project. I laid this layer between the flower base and watercolored flower centres.

I arranged this on top of a piece of Shimmery white card stock measuring 10cm x 14.4cm. I tied the Linen thread before securing the floral spray with gleaned dimensionals.

I then glued this to a Grey Granite card base measuring 21cm x 14.8cm scored and folded in half.

I stamped the sentiment from the Label Me Bold Stamp Set in Memento™Tuxedo Black ink and fussy cut it out. Adhering with dimensionals to complete the card.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog post today. I really appreciate you stopping by.

Have a lovely week!
