Bron’s 60th Birthday Blog Hop - CASEing the Catty from a Page in the Sixties

Hello and welcome to another fun Blog Hop to celebrate Bronwyn Eastley's 60th Birthday!

This month we are CASEing a project from the Annual Catalogue from a page in the 60's.

This was a lot of fun!!

I settled on the very sweet card on page 61 with the Count on Me stamp set and that gorgeous bear with the heart.  I changed it up by using the bear from the  Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper. I adore this gorgeous DSP. Here is my card below.

  1. Start with an Old Olive card base measuring 21cm x 14.9cm scored and folded in half
  2. Cut another piece of Old Olive card stock to measure 10cm x 14.3cm and glue this to the card base
  3. Cut another piece of Old Olive card stock to measure 10cm x 10 cm and tear along the top and the bottom to create a torn edge
  4. Cut a piece of the DSP to measure 10cm x 7cm. Punch the heart in the right hand side of this DSP
  5. Cut a 6.5cm x 6.5cm piece of the DSP with the bear, flowers, butterflies and sprigs and glue this so that the bear is displayed in the heart
  6. Glue these layers to the torn Old Olive piece then glue to the card front
  7. Stamp the sentiment in Soft Suede ink on Basic White card stock and trim and banner the ends
  8. Cut a 10cm piece of the Sahara Sand Twill Ribbon and point the ends with scissors
  9. Attach the Sahara Sand ribbon to the bottom of the heart using Tear n Tape then use DImensionals to adhere the sentiment to the card front just above the ribbon

I really enjoyed making this card as I like using DSP to create a card every now and then. A pack of DSP goes a long way and this is a great way to use the left over pieces.

Next up on this months blog hop is my lovely friend Julia Quinn

I cannot wait to see what Julie has CASEd from the Catalogue!!
