Hello and weelcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop for August.
This month the theme is Never Grow Up. I have created a sweet card to welcome a beautiful new baby boy into the world. We have a friend who has had a boy recently. And we wish that little man all the best as he grows and hope that he always has fun in his life and love in his heart.
Below is an image of the entire Around the World on Wednesday Crew and where they live around the globe. We have had some new creatives join the crew recently and I am so excited to have them join our fun blog hop. The crew truly are a wonderful supportive group of friends who love to create. This hop is organised by the wonderful Angie McKenzie who keeps the hops inspiring and imaginative. She is a wonderful friend too!
I have used the Little Dreamers Bundle for my card. I love this sweet little Lion hanging on the star. Just so gorgeous! I loved colouring in the stamped images. I started my card by using the die cut to cut the little stars out in the background layer of Boho Blue card stock. I have used the Boho Blue Textured Ribbon around the centre of the die cut star background layer.
I chose to use one of the Scalloped Contour rectangles to be a background piece to blend some Boho Blue ink on and stamp and colour some stars. I die cut the moon in Daffodil Delight and the clouds in Basic White card stock before adhering all the die cut pieces with Dimensionals and glue.
I stamped the main image in Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink before colouring using Stampin’ Blends. Then die cut it prior to adhering using Dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped in Boho Blue ink and cut using paper snips before adhering to the right hand side of the scallop rectangle. The finishing touch was using Wink of Stella on the Boho Blue large star for some sparkle.
I hope you like my sweet little card. I really enjoyed making this for this challenge. I hope I have inspired you to create something for a child or baby.
Up next on our blog hop is the wonderful Rochelle Laird-Smith. Click on the next blog button below to keep hopping. I cannot wait to see all the crew’s projects this month.
