Stampers Showcase Blog Hop - Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to the July Stampers Showcase Blog Hop. This month we are creating using a sketch from the Mojo Monday Blog Hop. A great sketch that could work for so many stamps and dies.

Below is the sketch and I have created my card using the same imperial measurements as I feel the card front looks best that way.

I have had the beautiful Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper a while and felt this was a great opportunity to use it. The Moody Mauve papers really took my fancy and the colour palette came from the beautiful Designer Series Paper.

I have used the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder and Bubble Bath for my Background layer. Worked in so well with the Daisy print.  The sentiment is from the Something Fancy stamp set and I have cut it out using a stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

The Moody Mauve ribbon was added as I felt the banner layer needed it. I have used three Moody Mauve Dots and one brushed brass butterfly to complete my card.

I enjoyed this sketch challenge and the design was easy to interpret. I have so many ideas now about using it with other stamps, dies and papers.

these gorgeous colours.

This challenges gorgeous inspiration image was chosen by crew member Brenton Golley.

I settled on one of the gorgeous blooms from the Everlasting Beauty for my card. I stamped them along the base of a strip of Basic White card stock in Memento™Tuxedo Black ink and coloureed with the Stampin' Blends in the colour palette.

I have cut a strip of the Daffodil Delight card stock to go underneath the stamped and coloured strip. I have roughed the edge of that strip. For the background layer I have used the Timber 3D Embossing Folder and roughed and curled two edges.

the black & white gingham ribbon really brings the card together as well as the Daffodil Delight Glossy Dots. I then spritzed some Basic Black ink over the top using the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - Theme Challenge

Hello and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop for July 2023!
Lots of amazing inspiration for you this month with a Theme  Challenge.

Each month a group of creative friends create a project for a theme. Below is an image of all of the crew and where they are from around the globe. Such a talented and wonderful group of people.

For this months challenge we had to CASe a team member and work with another team member. So I was fortunate enough to team up with the lovely and talented Shel Anderson from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It was so lovely getting to know her better and I love this part of the challenge.

We both decided to CASe the wonderful Wendy Lee and chose the Timeless Arrangements Bundle with Boho Blue, Moody Mauve and Garden Green as our colour palette.

Below is Wendy's Fun Fold card for the Around The World On Wednesday Blog Hop for September 2021. The theme was Changing Season's and below is the link so you can check out her Blog Post.

Wendy's card was a great template and I decided to make the card using her measurements. I did this so that the card would look similar. I settled on Boho Blue for the card base and due to the fact that there is no Designer Series Paper for this bundle I have ued the gorgeous leaf patterned paper from the Vellum Basics as I think the leaf is similar to that of the die cut leaves.

I simply stamped the sentiment on Basic White card stock and die cut it using the rectangular die. I cut multiple Garden Green leaves, Moody Mauve Flowers and Boho Blue sprigs and glued them to the back of the sentiment until I was happy with the fullness of the die cut pieces. Finishing off with a sweet Linen Thread bow.

Up next on this months blog hop is the my friend and wonderful card maker Rochelle Laird-Smith. Please click on the next blog button below to head to their blog post to see who Rochelle is CASeing!!
