Colour INKspiration #172

Hello and welcome to Colour INKspiration #173. This challenges gorgeous inspiriton image was chosen by the lovely Monica Formosa. The colours are so beautiful together!

I chose the beautiful Planted Paradise stamp set as it was perfect for this challenge. It is fun and very easy to use. The images are so contemporary and appealing.

The card base is Peach Pie. The Designer Series Paper is Peach Pie as well. The central Basic White layer was created using one of the Fun Patterns Embossing Folders. It worked so well with this stamp set. I roughed the edge and curled the corners.

The pot stamped in Peach Pie and the different leaves in Garden Green before being fussy cut. I tied a length of Linen Thread around the top of the pot in a bow, before adhering to the white embossed layer using Dimensionals.

I cut a small rectangle to imitate a shelf from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper. This was popped up on Dimensionals. The sentiment stamped in Pebbled Path and die cut using the sweet little tag from the Layers of Beauty Dies and pulled the Linen Thread bow through adhering with Dimensionals. The final touch was three of the Peach Pie Shimmer Gems placed around the plant.

Many thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are inspired to use this colour palette yourself. Have a great week!

Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - 1-2-3, A,B,C

Hello and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop for August 2024.

This month the crew have been creating with someone young or young at heart in mind. I thought about what I liked to do when I was a child. One of my favourite things to do was go to the beach in the warmer weather. On hot days we would picnic for dinner at the park near the beach to escape the relentless heatwave days. It was so lovely to be in the cool, then we would jump into the car for the 10 minute drive home and be hot again. Before cars were air conditioned. But the beach was such a refreshing place to be on those hot, hot days.

Below is a picture of all of the crew and where we reside all over the globe. They are such an amazingly creative and friendly group too. We hope to inspire you each month.

So with the beach in mind and using the Beach Day Bundle for my project this month, I created this sweet beach scene with a sandcastle and beach ball to remind me of the hot summers when I was a child and the fun had at the beach.

The card base is Balmy Blue card stock as is the mat layer which is Embossed with a gorgeous Embossing Folder coming in the Mini Catalogue next month. Birchwood Embossing Folder. I cut the largest Stylish Shapes Circle and used blending brushes with Balmy Blue and Basic Beige ink. I used a Post It note to create the horizon when blending the ink.

The Palm Tree was die cut out of Crumb Cake and Garden Green card stock. I blended some Garden Green ink on the leaves of the Palm Tree to create some depth. I stamped the grass behind the tree in Crumb Cake ink before gluing the tree on.

The ball was stamped in Balmy Blue ink and coloured with a Balmy Blue Stampin' Blend. The sandcastles were stamped in Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake card stock before being die cut.

The sentiment was stamped in Balmy Blue ink on Balmy Blue card stock before being trimmed with scissors and adhered to the card front using Dimensionals.

I hope you like my simple card. It was easy to create and would work well as a card for almost everybody. We all love the beach right!

Colour INKspiration #171

Hello and welcome to Colour INKspiration #171!

We have another gorgeous colour palette for you for this challenge.  This months colour palette and image was chosen by crew member Vicki Boucher.  Wouldn't you love to sip the tea from that gorgeous cup. We welcome Jay Soriano as our guest designer fort his challenge.

I saw the roses on the cup and decided that the beautiful Stippled Roses Bundle would be used for this challenge. I had to resist the urge to create with a white background as I am trying to be more colourful these days. I pulled the Sketched Plaid from the shelf to use as a background layer. Roses and Plaid sound wonderful together.

The Plaid layer is Pretty in Pink ink on Pretty in Pink card stock. The card base is beautiful Berry Burst.

Colouring in the roses after stamping them in Memento™Tuxedo Black ink is such a delight using the Stampin' Blends. The richness you get from these blends is so beautiful. Before adhering to the background layer I adhered some die cut Pretty in Pink leaves around the blooms. I also used the Pretty in Pink Stampin' Blend to colour the white edges around the flowersso they wouldn't look stark against the pink mat layer.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark™ ink on Berry Burst card stock. I have used White Embossing Powder and used snips to trim close to the letters. The gorgeous Berry Burst Adhesive Backed Sequins were the final touch and adhered around the bloom.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Hope you join with the crew using this divine colour palette. Have a great week!
