Stampers Showcase Blog Hop - It's time to Celebrate!

Hello and welcome to my final blog post for 2019!

So happy to create a "It's time to celebrate" card with the crew from the
Stamper's Showcase Blog Hop!

For this challenge I have decided to use one of the cutest stamp sets that will be FREE with a qualifying purchase during Sale-a-bration from the 3rd of January! I am using the The Gangs all Meer Stamp set. I love Meerkats as they are the cutest quirky animals. I have spent hours watching them on a television show called Meerkat Manor with my children.

I started with a Pool Party Card base measuring 21cm x 10.5cm scored and folded in half
I cut another piece of Pool Party card stock to measure 10.2cm x 14.6cm and a piece of the Let it Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper and glued this to the Pool Party piece of card stock. I ran the bakers twine around these two pieces and adhered it to the card base with Dimensionals.

I stamped the Meerkat images on a piece of Whisper White Card stock, measuring 7.8cm x 6cm, in Crumb Cake and coloured them in using the Crumb Cake Blends for the Meerkats and the Pool Party Blends to shade around the gang! And the Real Red blends to create the striped T-Shirt. I stamped the Party Hats in Real Red and cut them out and glued them to the Meerkats heads. I glued this to a piece of Pool party measuring 8cm x 6.2cm to create a small border. Then attached this to the card base using DImensionals.

I stamped the Happy New Year from some of the sentiments from the Well Said stamp set. I stamped them in Versa Mark™on Basic black card stock, heat embossed them in White Stampin' Emboss Powder and cut each word out individually. I adhered these sentiment pieces to the card using Dimensionals.

I hope you have enjoyed reading how this sweet card came together. It is such a fun stamp set to create with.

Kylie's Demonstrator Training Program Monthly Team Blog Hop December

Hello and welcome to Kylie's Demonstrator Training Program Monthly Team Blog Hop for December.

For this months hop I wanted to create a card with the Snow Front Stamp Set as I have not had time to create with this beautiful stamp set yet.

I created this for a friend in the northern Hemisphere for Christmas. As I am posting it overseas I decided to keep it simple with no embellishments. To be truthful this stamp set needs no embellishments. The scenes are easy to create and you can add dimension by stamping off ink on your stamp to create lighter images.

For my card I used a Crumb Cake card base measuring 21cm x 14.8cm scored and folded in half.

My next layer is a piece of Pool Party measuring 14.4cm x 10cm that was embossed with the Winter Knit 3D embossing folder. I glued this to the card base.

I then stamped the images onto a piece of Whisper White card stock measuring 9cm x 9cm. The colours used are listed below.

Then cut a piece of Crumb Cake to 9.3cm x 9.3cm and glued the image layer to that creating a fine border.

I then stamped the sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas in Crumb Cake on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock and cut around it using the new amazing paper trimmer from Stampin' Up!®. You can easily cut small pieces with this trimmer.

Then I cut a slightly larger piece of Crumb Cake card stock to glue behind sentiment layer.

I popped both the stamped images layer and the sentiment layer up with dimensionals.

That was a very simple and fun card to create. I enjoyed creating my own scene with this stamp set and look forward to using it for cards during the year. Not just for Christmas!

Thank you for visiting my blog today. Make sure that you hop around and look at everyones amazing creations! Links are below.

Colour INKspiration #69

Hello and welcome to my blog!

It is the final Colour INKspiration Challenge for 2019
and isn't the inspiration photo below beautiful!

You may have come from Nikki Spencer's blog post!

Make sure you hop around and see everyone's creation!

I was inspired by the wreath image to create a Christmas card with a difference with the challenge colours. I chose the First Frost Bundle to create my card and have used some new items from the mini catalogue that will begin next month. I cannot believe that 2020 is almost here. When I was young and heard "1999" by Prince 1999 then seemed like an eternity away then and here we are at the end of 2019!

I stamped all the images and used the Stamparatus to stamp the Gorgeous Grape and Mint Macaron flowers and stems. I did this using Stampin' Write Markers.  I coloured and stamped the stems first and then the Gorgeous Grape buds. An easy to achieve effect using the Stamparatus! I stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape.  I then die cut the images and the label for the sentiment from the coordinating dies.

The card Base in Whisper White measures 21cm x 14.8cm scored and folded in half. I cut another piece of Whisper White to measure 10cm x 14.4cm and used the new Coastal Weave 3D Embossing folder to get this stunning background.

I then ran some of the new Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon around and tied a bow on the left hand side of the card. I then positioned all the floral images and the sentiment and secured using dimensionals.

The Coastal Weave 3D embossing folder and Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon will be available from the 3rd of January. Please contact me if you would like a Catalogue. Don't forget that Sale a Bration begins in January 2020!

Next up on our Colour INKspiratin Crew Blog Hop is Bronwyn Eastley. Her creation for this challenge is stunning. Click on the next button below to go to her blog post!

Eco Conscious Crafting Blog Hop December

Hello and welcome to my Eco Conscious Crafting Blog post!

You may have arrived here from Katharina Pradel.

Today we are creating with an environmentally friendly process. So I have decided to up-cycle some paper shopping and gift bags. This is something that I have been doing for a few years rather than purchasing Christmas paper and Birthday gift wrapping paper.

I have purchased a few Christmas presents early and have made these bags into Christmas gift bags by simply creating a Christmas tag.

I reached into my scrap card stock bin and my box containing half finished projects for these tags. All but the Whisper White Card stock came from the bin and box of unused card stock. Some of the card stock pieces have marks on them but will still be perfect for creating tags and not throwing away.

I created three gift tags for my bags. These are very simple tags and use only card stock, ink and linen thread.

You can see the products used below to create these tags

This Christmas Tree tag is simple to make and the recipients name is hidden inside the tree.

I love the fancy die from the Detailed Bands Dies in Melon Mambo with the Melon Mambo Christmas Tree and Star. The recipient on the back of this tag.

This tag was easy to create with the punch and layering circle dies. Again the recipient is on the back of the tag.

I hope you have enjoyed reading how simply you can up cycle and reuse bags for gifting. I hope that I have inspired you to make some simple tags to use at Christmas and with Birthdays too! I hope the recipients of my gift bags reuse them as well.

Please make sure that you hop around and visit everyone participating in this Eco Conscious Crafting Blog Hop. You will be inspired by everyones creations.

Click on the names below to go to the others amazing blog posts for more wonderful inspiration!

Up next is my lovely friend Denita and her stunning creations!

Leonie Stuart - you are here!

I hope you are now turning your thoughts to what you could do to reuse items and reduce waste this Christmas. Every little action can make a difference.

Thank you for visiting my blog and have a great week!
