Welcome to another fun Social Stamping Blog post.
Todays theme is Birthday's in Isolation.
I wanted to create a birthday card for a friend who I won't get to see for her birthday this month. The Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper has been one of my favourite DSP's of all time. This stunning DSP retires at the end of this Annual Catalogue, so make sure you purchase some before it is gone forever. I have plenty of time to fussy cut at the moment so I cut this beautiful bird sitting on a branch image with my snips. Normally fussy cutting is stressful for me but I took my time not wanting to cut anything "extra" out!
I am enjoying being in the moment with no pressure or too many deadlines at the moment. I feel very blessed to be in this position. Many of my friends are nurses and they are on the front line with many other health professionals and other essential services. This card will be heading to one of those amazing people. They are doing an amazing job and I greatly appreciate them all.

- Start with a Card base of Thick Whisper White card stock measuring 21cm x 14.9cm scored and folded in half.
- Cut a piece of the pink polka dot Designer Series Paper to measure 14.4cm x 10cm.
- Cut a piece of the stunning Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon to measure 11cm Cut one end on the diagonal and then secure around the DSP on the right hand side with tear & Tape. Glue this DSP layer to the card base.
- Select the bird image from the DSP that you would like to use (any of the bird and leaf images would be perfect) and fussy cut it out with your paper snips.
- Place a lot of mini dimensionals behind your cut image and secure it to the DSP layer above the ribbon. You could glue the image to card stock before fussy cutting to give your work reinforcement.
- Cut a small piece of Basic Black card tock for the sentiment. Rub with the Embossing Buddy. Stamp the sentiment in Versamark™ ink. Sprinkle with White Embossing Powder and set with the heat tool.
- Fussy cut around the sentiment with your paper snips and then use mini dimansionals to adhere to your card front at the top level of your ribbon.
