Colour INkspiration #217

  

Hello and welcome to Colour INKspiration #CI217!

We have another wonderful colour palette for this challenge. The inspiration image was selected by   Michele Miller. These colours are perfectly harmonious and it was such a pleasure to create a card with this palette.

With our new catalogue launch, I decided to create a card that’s a bit out of the ordinary, using the challenge colours. I picked The Neutral Noel bundle, which has this lovely Christmas village feel and some pretty fun details. I started creating a whimsical Christmas card.

The card base is Basic White card stock. The Matt layer is also Basic White card stock that I have embossed using the Softly Woven 3-D Embossing Folder. I glued the embossed layer to the card base.

I cut the large oval shape from the coordinating dies. I lightly shaded the top of the die cut using Balmy Blue ink and a Blending Brush. I die cut the trees using Basic White card stock. I cut this layer down and adhered it to the oval layer using glue.

On a piece of Basic White card stock I lightly shaded Bubble Bath, Highland Heather, Crisp Cantaloupe ink using Blending Brushes. I die cut the houses,wreaths, garland, and star out of these lightly coloured pieces. After adhering the wreaths, garland and star to the houses. I cut white pieces of card stock and adhered behind each house so that you could not see through to the card layers. I adhered these pieces with glue. I adhered the houses to the centre of the oval using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I have been thoroughly enjoying using my Hot Foil System. I recently purchased the Magical Christmas Hot Foil Dies. This collection of Christmas sentiments is such a wonderful addition for all your Christmas crafts. I chose the sentiment as it was a perfect fit for the bottom of the oval layer. I also used one of the stars and placed in the sky. I used silver foil as it paired perfectly with the challenge colours. I adhered the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The star is glued down. I then adhered the oval layer with the houses using Stampin’Dimensionals to the centre of the card front.

The card came together very easily and it was fun to include Hot Foiling!
