Hello and welcome to Colour INKspiration #CI218!

The Team have another wonderful colour palette for this challenge. The inspiration image was chosen by crew member Vicki Boucher. We welcome Sonja Zierer as our Guest Designer.

This gorgeous inspiration image made me think of gingerbread and a Country Christmas! I love this image. The check cushion and throw as well as the heart of the Kitchen, the oven, is right up my alley. The image gives me warm fuzzies.

The Neutral Noel Suite of products caught my eye as soon as I opened the page in the new catalogue. Such beautiful stamps and dies to create serene Christmas scenes. I set about creating a country wreath using the products from the Suite.

The card base is Pecan Pie. The mat layer is also Pecan Pie. I die cut the wreath in Basic Black card stock. I glued this to the top of the mat layer. I flicked some White Craft ink on the Matt layer with the wreath to give a snowy feel to my card. I adhered The wreath layer to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

At the base of the wreath I glued a die cut layer of the trees in Pecan Pie card stock. This layer will be hidden by the houses and die cut elements at the base of the card.

On Pecan Pie card stock, I stamped some sprigs in Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink, the berry sprigs and the pinecones in Pecan Pie ink. I stamped the berries in Real Red ink on Real Red card stock. I die cut all of these stamped images using the coordinating dies before assembling them and adhering to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I die cut the two houses from Basic White card stock and coloured the roof of both houses using the Real Red Dark Stampin’ Blend. I glued smaller pieces of Pecan Pie card stock behind each house so that it was all that was visible through the windows of the sweet houses. I adhered the houses to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark™ ink on a piece of Basic black card stock. I sprinkled white Embossing Powder on top and set with the Heat Tool. I trimmed the sentiment using my scissors. Tied some linen thread in a double bow and adhered it to the back of the sentiment. I secured the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I really enjoyed creating this card. I love all the products in the Neutral Noel Suite and look forward to making more projects with them. I hope you play along with this challenge.
