Colour INKspiration #205

Hello and welcome to Colour INKspiration #205.

This challenges beautiful floral inspiration image was chosen by crew member Jan Clothier.

I wanted to honour this gorgeous photo and use a floral image in my card. The closest stamp set to the stock bloom was in the 2026 Virtual Card Making Retreat stamp set. The flowers come together so easily and pack a punch in the vibrant challenge colours.

My card base and mat layer are both Basic White.  I then cut two lengths of the Berry Burst Two-Tone card stock that was left over in my Virtual Retreat Box to the same length as the base of the mat layer. I tore the top of each strip of Berry Burst to expose the white core before gluing to the base of the mat embossed layer. Then gluing the mat layer to the card base.

I die cut the label in Basic White from the coordinating Dies and then stamped the worded stamp in stamped off Basic Gray ink. Covering the whole of the label. I stamped the flowers in Berry Burst and the stem and leaves in Granny Apple Green ink on Basic White card stock. Cutting them with the coordinating dies.

I adhered the label to the right side of the card using Dimensionals. I adhered the flowers and stems and leaves with Dimensionals allowing the central bloom to be at the front of the ones at the side.

I stamped the striped stamp on a piece of Basic White card stock, trimmed it and cut one end in a banner. I adhered this underneath the bloom label using Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray on Basic White card stock and trimmed with the Paper Trimmer. I tired a length of Linen Thread in a bow and adhered it to the back of the sentiment using Tear n' Tape before adhering both to the bottom of the blooms and the top of the striped strip.

I then coloured three of the white Moody Palette Glossy Dots using the light Berry Burst Blend. Allowing them to dry before adhering them around the blooms.

I love how easily this card came together and was happy to use the products I had left over from the Virtual Card Making Retreat. I enjoyed the Virtual Retreat immensely as I learned some wonderful new techniques and the products were gorgeous.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you will join in on this challenge. I hope you will look at all the projects from the Colour INKspiration Crew in the #CI205 Album on our Facebook page. There are some amazing and inspirational projects there.
