Colour INKspiration #204

Hello and welcome to Colour INKspiration #204!

We have another beautiful colour combination for this challenge. The challenge inspiration image, below, was chosen by Lou Kitzelman. A stunning cake!

I love this colour combination and wanted to use Lost Lagoon to colour my leaves as it is a perfect leaf colour, like a Eucalyptus leaf. I also wanted to make sure wreath for this project, using the sweet small floral image from the Layers of Beauty Bundle.

My card base is Basic White and the Mat layer is Lost Lagoon Designer Series Paper from the Everyday Happiness DSP. I love this sweet dotted paper! I glued the DSP to the card base.

I cut two mat layers of Basic White card stock. one slightly smaller than the other. The small one was embossed using the Beautiful Patterns Embossing Folder. I glued the two white layers together and then glued to them to the card front on an angle with the embossed layer on the top.

I created a wreath by stamping the small floral image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and a stamp positioned. Once the wreath was complete I coloured it in using the Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Soft Sea Foam and Lost Lagoon Stampin Blends. The leaves were coloured by blending both green tones.. I then fussy cut the wreath. It took some time but was it worth it. I adhered it to the embossed layer using Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment in Lost Lagoon ink on Basic White card stock and die cut it using a Stylish Shape Banner Die. I tied a length of Linen Thread in a bow and adhered it to the right hand side of the wreath using glue.I adhered the sentiment piece to the top of the bow using Dimensionals. Three of the  Flirty Flamingo Frosted Dots were glued around the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you will join us for this colour challenge!!
