Colour INKspiration #203

 

Hello and welcome to another beautiful colour combination from Colour INKspiration Challenges. This challenge has such a beautiful inspiration image chosen by crew member Monica Formosa. We welcome Verity Pursglove as our Guest Designer for this challenge.

The beautiful leaf shaped tiles in the inspiration image inspired me to use florals for this card. I decided to use products from the Beautiful Gallery Suite Collection. My sentiment is the January product of the month stamp set called Fabulous Sayings. It will possibly still be available at the moment if it hasn't sold out.

The card base and the embossed layer is Basic White card stock. The embossed layer glued to the card front. I love blue and white together and kept my card base white so the flowers and leaves pop.

The flowers and some of the sprigs were stamped in Smokey Slate ink and coloured with Smokey Slate, Azure Afternoon and Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends. I have left some areas of the flowers and leaves white to give some depth to the images. They were die cut using the coordinating dies. I cut some leaves and sprigs in Smokey Slate and Basic White card stock. 

I stamped the sentiment in Azure Afternoon ink on Basic White card stock and die cut it using a circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I arranged some of the flowers, leaves and sprigs and adhered to the card front using glue. Then adhered a length of Balmy Blue Gingham Ribbon tied in a bow behind the sentiment layer using a GlueDot™. Then adhered the smaller flowers to the right bottom side of the sentiment layer using Glue and Dimensionals.The finishing touch were some gorgeous Balmy Blue Adhesive Backed Dots adhered around the blooms.
