A Cut Above masculine birthday card!

Here is a little post about my A Cut Above Birthday card.

This sweet stamp set is now available to purchase and is on page 69 of the new Mini Catalogue. The images are fun and perfect if you love to colouring with Stampin' Blends or Watercolour Pencils. For my card I have used Stampin' Blends.

I needed a masculine card and love the fun images in this stamp set. I know a lot of men and women take great pride in their lawn and garden. This stamp set also has other images including a guy relaxing in his hammock.  So this set is perfect for lots of occasions for the men in your life.

• I have stamped the main image in Memento™Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White card stock.
• Cut this image with the largest layering square die or just trim it square.
• Cut a piece of Misty Moonlight Card stock to create a frame around the square image. Glue this to image layer.
• Then coloured with my Stampin' Blends. See below for colours.
• Then I have used the new Blending brushes to create a sky in Seaside Spray ink and the grass in Pear Pizazz ink.
• I stamped the sun in Daffodil Delight before colouring with Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends before fussy cutting it out.
• After cutting the background Mist Moonlight card stock I stamped the clouds on it in Misty Moonlight ink.
• Glue the background matt to a Misty Moonlight card base.
• Pop the image layer up on the card with dimensionals.
• Stamp the sentiment in Versmark™ ink on a piece of Misty Moonlight card stock. Sprinkle with the white embossing powder and set with the heat tool. Die cut with a Stitched rectangle shape and adhere to the bottom of the image layer with dimensionals.
• Adhere the Sun to the top left of image with a dimensional.

Sweet Strawberry and Berry Blessings Thank You Card!

Hello there and welcome to my blog post today!

The Sweet Strawberry Bundle and Berry Blessings Bundle are two separate bundles. One in the new Mini and the other in the SALE a-bration! catalogue. So you could buy one and be over half way to receiving the second bundle for free. 

I love SALE a-bration! Don't you?

The Sweet Strawberry Bundle was delivered today and I had to ink it straight up and create a simple Thank You card. I love the beautiful two step images. Making colouring so quick and easy.

1. Start with a Crumb Cake card base measuring 29.7cm x 10.5cm. Score and fold in half.
2. Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock to measure 10cm x 14.2cm.
3. Cut a piece of the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper to measure 9.5cm x 2.5cm. Use Paper Snips to banner the end. Glue to the lower third of the Whisper White card stock and then to the Crumb Cake card base.
4. Stamp the sentiment on a piece of Whisper White card stock. Using the second largest stitched circle shape die cut the sentiment in Real Red ink. Securing with dimensionals, pop this up on top of the DSP layer.
5. Stamp the strawberry in Real Red ink, then the two leaves and the stem in Garden Green ink. 
6. Then use the Strawberry Builder Punch to punch out the shapes.
7. Arrange the strawberry, leaves and stem on the bottom left of the sentiment layer. Secure with glue or glue dots.
8. Tie an 8cm piece of Linen Thread in a bow and secure to the left of the sentiment layer with a glue dot.

I hope you enjoyed reading how this sweet little card came together. The products used are at the bottom of this post. It really took no time at all. If you only have the Sweet Strawberry Bundle you only need to swap out the DSP for some Garden Green card stock or DSP.

I am also thinking of my Nursing friends and other health professionals who may or may not have had a break.

Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop - Something New!

 

Hello and welcome to the first blog hop for an amazing new group of demonstrators called Stamping Inkspirations started by my friend Angie McKenzie. I am so excited to be hopping with these talented people and feel very honoured to be asked. 

I am looking forward to bringing you more inspiration this year. I hope that you will find time to be more creative this year too.

I am so happy that Stampin Up!® have brought out Blending Brushes in the new Mini Catalogue as they are so easy to use and blend colours perfectly. Today my "Something New" post is all about new products in the new catalogues. As you can imagine I struggled with which products to use. I settled on the Berry Blesssings Stamp Set and Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper! Both available for FREE in the SALE a-bration! catalogue when you spend $180 AUD. The stunning DSP helped me decide as the piece I used is simply beautiful.

Here is my project for this challenge. 

A thank you card.

1. Start with a Thick Whisper White card base measuring 21cm x 10.5cm scored and folded in half.
2. Cut a piece of the DSP to measure 9.9cm.x 14.3cm. Glue this DSP to the front of the card base.
3. On a piece of whisper White card stock stamp the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry and die cut this with a 5.6cm x 9cm Stitched Rectangle Die.
4. Cut a piece of Rich Razzleberry to create a frame around the sentiment rectangle measuring 6.3cm x 9.4cm.
5. Glue the Whisper White stitched rectangle to the Rich Razzleberry card stock. Then pop this up on the card front using dimensionals.
6. On Whisper White card stock stamp the images from the Berry Blessings stamp set in Rich Razzleberry and Garden Green ink. Use "stamped off"  ink to fill the images in and fussy cut images. Three leaves, three berries and two stems.
7. Arrange the images at the bottom of the stitched rectangle sentiment layer and adhere with glue and dimensionals.
8. Place three Purple Posy sequins on the sentiment layer.

Pretty Perennials Bundle Birthday Card

Hello and welcome to my first post of the year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Todays post is about one of my favourite and versatile stamp sets in the new Mini Catalogue!

The Pretty Perennials Bundle is absolutely stunning and was at the top of my list from the new catalogue.

This stamp set was inspired by million dollar sales achiever Dena Rekow. I love her creations and tune in to her You Tube lives regularly.  It is called The Creativity Cave. She loves to make and send happy cards and this stamp set celebrates Dena! It even comes with the most beautiful coordinating dies.

I have made this birthday card for a very special friend. I am sure she will get a surprise when this happy mail is opened.

I love how it is soft and cheery! 

Or Happy!...... as Dena would say! 

1. Start with a Thick Whisper White card base measuring 10.5cm x 29.7cm scored and folded in half.
2. Cut a piece of the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper to measure 9.9cm x 14.3cm. Glue this to the card front.
3. On a piece of Whisper White card stock stamp the happy sentiment in Versamark™ ink. Sprinkle the Heat & Stick powder over the top and set with the heat tool. Carefully apply some Gilded Leafing over the top and remove excess with a sponge.  Die cut this with the Tasteful Label die as in photo. Secure to the card front using dimensionals.
4. Stamp the Birthday sentiment in Calypso Coral ink on a piece of Whisper White card stock. Die cut with the banner stitched label from the Tasteful labels Dies. Cut off the left hand side and secure to bottom of the other label with dimensionals.
5. Stamp all other images in Petal Pink, So Saffron and Pear Pizazz inks as in photo above. Die cut with coordinating dies.
6. Cut 5 of the small leaves using the small leaf die and Pear Pizazz card stock.
7. Arrange the flowers and leaves around the sentiment labels and secure with glue and dimensionals.

I really enjoyed playing with this bundle and can see many uses for the dies!
