Colour INKspiration #194

Hello friends! Welcome to Colour INKspiration #194.

I love every thing about the inspiration image below. Isn't it gorgeous!! It was chosen by lovely crew member Rose Packer.

I wanted to challenge myself to do some colour blending with these challenge colours and make a card that could suit both male and female recipients. Secret Sea is such a wonderful colour as a card base due to its deep blue colour. The card base and mat layer are Secret Sea. I ran the matt layer through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder before gluing it to the card base.

I die cut a piece of Basic White card stock and a slightly larger one in Secret Sea card stock using an Everyday Arch Die. On the Basic White arched piece I used a Blending Brush to create the soft background. Fresh Freesia at the top, Calypso Coral in the centre and Soft Sea Foam at the bottom. I stamped the four trees on the left side of the card in Secret Sea ink.

I die cut a piece of Soft Sea Foam card stock using the lower vegetation die. I used a Blending Brush and some ink to give depth to this piece before die cutting it with the same die used to cut the Basic White arch and then gluing it in place at the bottom of the arch.

I glued the scene piece to the Secret Sea piece and mounted it on the card front using Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark™ink on a piece of Secret Sea card stock and trimmed using my paper trimmer. I cut a length of Linen Thread, tied it in a bow and glued it to the base of the sentient. Then adhered this to the right hand side of the card front using Dimensionals.

The finishing touch was some gorgeous Secret Sea Low Profile Sparkle Dots!

I hope you will join us for this challenge. There is some amazing inspiration from the crew. Thanks for stopping by today, you are appreciated.
