I love the Everyday Details Bundle and wanted to use the image of the eggs in the nest for my card. I also decided to create a more rustic look and have teamed the image with some Woodgrain look Designer Series Paper.
My card base and mat layer are Crumb Cake card stock. The mat layer was stamped with the spots from the stamp set then I used Crumb Cake ink and a Blending Brush to add colour to the edges of this layer. I glued it on an angle to the card base. I ran the Woodgrain piece of Designer series Paper through the Big Shot using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. before gluing it to the mat layer on an angle as shown.
I used the die to cut two rows of hole detail on a strip of Fresh Freesia using one of the Everyday Detail dies and glued this to the centre of the card I let it hang over the edge of the card slightly.
I stamped the nest image in Basic Gray ink on Basic White card stock and coloured using a Water Painter to spread the ink. I coloured the eggs and leaves in using Fresh Freesia, Old Olive and Petal Pink Stampin' Blends and used the Colour Lifter to lift some ink to give dimension to the eggs. I die cut this using a circular die from the Everyday Details Does and adhered it to the top of the Fresh Freesia strip with Dimensionals.
I then stamped three of the floral images from the Teacup in the stamp set in Basic Gray ink on Basic White card stock. I coloured usingFresh Freesia and Old Olive Stampin' Blends. I fussy cut these out close to the stamped edge so as not to show the rest of the image. I adhered these to the bottom of the nest using Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink one Basic White card stock and die cut it using the smallest circle die in the Everyday Details dies. I then adhered the circle to the bottom left of the larger circle die using Dimensionals. I separated a length of Linen Thread into three lengths, then tied these in a bow and glued to the top of the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you use this colour palette on your next project or play along with the Colour INKspirations Challenges. Have a great week!
