Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop - Technique Challenge

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop for March 2023.

This month the crew have a wonderful technique to share with you. One that I have not tried before this challenge and now I love it and want to use it more. The technique is Etching. A perfect way to colour your stamped images beautifully and easily.

I love the beautiful details of the teacup from the Everyday Details stamp set and decided that this would be the perfect image to colour using this technique for the first time. I really love how it has turned out.

The card base and mat layer are Pool Party and the Designer Series Paper is from the Subtles DSP. I cut a Pool Party strip to place behind the central circle from the Nested Essentials Dies. Love the shapes in this die set. I wrapped two lengths of Linen Thread around the centre of the die cut piece and tied it in a bow on the left hand side before gluing to the card base.

I stamped the teacup image in Memento™Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of Basic White card stock and die cut it with a circle from the Everyday Detail Dies. To colour it I have used Stampin' Write Markers. To Etch I flicked the narrow tip of the Stampin' Write Marker from the top or side of the stamped image and let it taper out tothe centre of the area I was colouring. So quick, easy and fun!!

I stamped the sentiment in Pool Party ink on Basic White card stock and cut it out with a circle die from the every Details Dies. Adhere both circles using Dimensionals.
