Welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop for September 23!
Wow, the year is getting away. It is Spring time here in Australia and we are having the most beautiful weather. My roses are almost ready to sprout buds they are growing so fast. I have not long pruned them. I am hoping it will be a wonderful year for them as last year was.
This month we have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe theme. I settled on Brown Leaves Torn as I have been busting to use Copper Clay with the Abundant Beauty Decorative Mask. You can see all the wonderful options for this challenge in the image below. I hope you create something with this challenge too. Lot's of fun.
Apart from the Abundant Beauty Decorative Mask, I have used the sentiment from the In The Moment stamp set. The leaves were created using the mask and a Blending Brush on Fluid 100 paper as I prefer the way this paper tears. I used the smaller Blending Brush as I could easily apply more colour to give the leaves a variegated look.
It was very simple to create but I love how it has turned out. The sentiment is heat embossed white and I trimmed it with a die from the Something Fancy Bundle but this could be easily done with paper snips. The linen thread tied in a double bow is the final detail. I resisted the urge to use Wink of Stella on the leaves but felt that it would look amazing if you had the patience to colour all the leaves. My Tendonitis is still hanging around so I felt less was more.
Up next on this months hop is the wonderfully talented Mo Rootes. Mo will have something wonderful to share with you. Click on the next button below to head to her blog post.
