Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop - Tic-Tac-Toe

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop for June!!

I cannot belive it is June already. The year is flying by and that the new Annual Catalogue has been around for over a month. This is what I enjoy about blogging. Looking back on what was the latest stamp set at that point in time and how my projects have changed. It is like revisiting an old good friend.

This month the team are making a card using the Tic-Tac-Toe image below. This is a really fun way to create and I chose more than one line. Firstly I chose Blue, Splash and Circle and then decided to add Shadow, Shine and Twine! I was adding some Wink of Stella to my fish and the area he comes out of the water to create a Shine and Splash. Then felt the need to add the twine so I thought it may as well be on an angle for this project and popped a darker layer of the die cut fish to create a shadow. And, Hey Presto all bases were covered.

Here is my card using the Gone Fishing Bundle and Let's Go Fishing Designer Series Paper. The blues in the DSP were perfect for my card front and I felt it represented the water so beautifully.

A stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies worked perfectly and I stamped it all over before using the die cut to make ripples in the water and a hole for the fish to pop out of. I popped the fish up on Dimensionals and coloured it with Wink of Stella as well as the die cut area where the fish comes out of the water. The Boho Blue Twine worked amazingly with this project and I like it on an angle.

Unfortunately it is difficult to see the sparkle of the wink of stella, but it is on the fish and the stitched circle. THe congrats sentiment is from the Gone Fishing stamp set and I have used a die from the All That Dies to die cut it. I think it works well with the sentiment.

Up next on our blog hop this month is the wonderfully talented Ann Krucek. Click on the Next Blog button below to head to her blog post.
