Colour INKspiration #145

Hello and welcome to Colour INKspiration #145!

We have a gorgeous colour palette for you this challenge and it is perfect for cards for either men or women. I chose to make a masculine card this time as I need some for my stash. I hope to inspire you to create a card or project using the challenge colours.

The crew would love you to join us for one of the challenges! It's so easy. Firstly, get some INKspiration by checking out all of the creations of the Colour INKspiration Crew in the challenge album on our Facebook page. Then you have 12 days from today to make and upload your creation to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group. You don't have to have a blog to participate but if you do you can link back to your post. Make sure you use all of the challenge colours. You can also use neutrals such as Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and Basic Black as well as Metallics.

Here is my card using the new Wanted to Say Dies.

I love the Celebrate font in this die set and felt that Azure Afternoon and Lemon Lime Twist would look fabulous together for the sentiment. I chose the stars from the die set to compliment the sentiment. And the sheer Azure Afternoon Ribbon worked perfectly.

For my background I started with the large dots embossing folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folder Bundle. As it was too stark I created the Azure Afternoon check using a mask and a blending brush. So easy and effective when you dont have the coloured Designer Series Paper you need.

 

I completed the card using some Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems. These have a small piece of silver timnsel in them perfectly coordinating with the silver thread in the sheer ribbon and the card base in Blueberry Bushel.
