Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - Colour Challenge

Hello and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop for November!

Below is an image of where the crew are from around the globe. Such a wonderful group of creatives wanting to inspire you. This months theme is a colour challenge.

We were asked to either use traditional or coastal colours. I have gone with traditional colours. Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce and Gold.

The card base is Basic White as is the mat layer. I have embossed the matt layer with the Painted Trees Embossing Folder. I then stamped the smaller tree row on a piece of 1cm x 10cm Basic White card stock I then tore this down above and below the trees before glueing to the card front.

I used Shaded Spruce ink and a water painter to colour a 10 cm x 14cm piece of card stock. I left areas of the card stock darker and some areas lighter for contrast. I die cut three of the trees and glued them to the right hand side of the card.

I ran a length of the Gold Twisted Thread around the trees securing in the front in a double bow.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark™ink on Cherry Cobbler card stock. Sprinkled with gold embossing powder and set with the heat tool. I cut the sentiment down close to the letters and adhered it to the top of the thread with Dimensionals. Finishing my card with three White Loose Snowflakes adhered with glue.

Up next on this months Blog Hop is my friend Rochelle Laird-Smith.
