Hello and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop for October.
This month we have a fun sketch challenge. I love a sketch challenge as it is one of the easiest ways to get started when creating. So many different stamp sets can be used too!
Below is an image of where the Around the World on Wednesday design team are from. The team is amazingly creative and are such a supportive community to be part of.
Here is the sketch for this months Blog Hop.

I have had the sweet Snowy Scenes Suite Collection for a while and this has been my first opportunity to create with it. I spent three wonderful weeks travelling through beautiful Europe with my husband. So I was very keen to get back into my creative space to play with these products.
I started by creating the snowy scene with the cure penguin. I punched a Basic White circle using the
2 3/8" circle punch. I stamped the snowflakes in Versamark™ ink, then sprinkled with White Embossing Powder and set with the Heat Tool. I then stamped the tree in Garden Green ink to the left of the circle. I used a small Blending Brush and Pool Party ink to create the sky.
I die cut two smaller trees in Garden Green card stock and glued to the right hand side. After stamping the penguin in Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink and the present and candy cane in Poppy Parade I die cut them using the coordinating dies. Then adhered them to the top of the circle using Dimensionals.
The card base is Poppy Parade and the mat layer is Basic White embossed using the new Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder. I also embossed the other smaller white layer. Then cut the fun Pool Party Pompom Ribbon in half and glued the ribbon at the sides of this layer. The Pompoms are so cute! Then adhered to the card front using Dimensionals. The circle layer was adhered to the top using Dimensionals.
The band is a piece of the gorgeous Snowy Scenes Designer series paper with some Poppy Parade card stock underneath. All glued down to the card front. I have tied some Garden Green twine around this band and tied in a bow near the circle.
Up next on this month's blog hop is my friend and team member Rochelle Laird-Smith.

DeleteThis is just so adorable! Love the embossing - perfect choice for some texture but not competition for those sweet penguins. Extremely clever use of the pompom ribbon too. As always, a great card Leonie.
