Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop - Paper Piecing

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop for August.

This month we are featuring paper piecing as our theme. I instantly thought of piecing a quilt together and set about to recreate a quilted look using the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper. I have made many quilts over the years. Another hobby I enjoy is patchwork and quilting and combining the two.

I have used a stitched square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut my squares and have glued them to a piece of Night of Navy card stock leaving a border around each piece. The I glued this to a piece of Basic White card stock then ran it through my Cut & Emboss Machine using the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder to create a quilted look. Then adhering it to a Basic White card base.

I stamped the sentiment from the Lasting Joy stamp set in Versamark™ ink on a piece of Night of Navy card stock before sprinkling with White Embossing Powder and setting with the heat tool. Then I die cut the sentiment with a die from the Countryside Corners Dies.

I cut the Night of Navy Bordered ribbon in half and tied both pieces in a bow and also a length of the White Twine in a bow (inspired by the amazing Tammy Wilson) before adhering to the right hand side of the card front using Seal+ before adhereing the sentiment on top with Dimensionals. Then adhered three of the Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems around the sentiment.

Up next on our blog hop is the amazing Tricia Butts!

Thanks for visiting my blog today. You are appreciated!
