It is time for another Colour INKspiration Crew Blog Hop!
You may have come here from the amazingly talented Kelly Kent!
How gorgeous are the below images for our challenge this time. I love the wintery scenes.
We are using Seaside Spray, Smokey Slate, Very vanilla and Early Espresso for this fun challenge.
I have been enjoying using the gorgeous Bird Ballad Laser-cut cards over the past few weeks.
They are stunning and don't require a lot of work to make a beautiful card. They are the perfect thing to have in your stash to make a quick card.
I started by gluing a piece of Smokey Slate card stock to the back of the laser-cut front.
Next I stamped the bird from the Free as a Bird stamp set in Early Espresso on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I coloured it in with the Seaside Spray and Smokey Slate Stampin' Blends. I fussy cut this image out.
Using the Stitched Nested Label Dies to cut out a Very Vanilla and Smokey Slate label. I moved the larger die on the Smokey Slate back towards the centre of the die from the side to create a label that fit evenly around the sentiment layer.
I stamped the Thank You from the Free as a Bird stamp set on the Very Vanilla label. Then glued the two labels together. Then gluing them to the front of the card. I also glued the Bird to the left side of the card.
I hope you have enjoyed reading how easily this came together. I love the simplicity of this card.

This is a beautiful card, Leonie. I particularly love the tip on how to get an even border around the nested labels dies! Love the way you have coloured the bird too - isn't that blue just gorgeous!xxReplyDelete

Thank you very much RachelDelete
These cards are superb to have on hand for an impressive card. I saw the background as Seaside Spray when I first saw the card - optical illusion or else old eyes!ReplyDelete
Thank you Jan 😊Delete
