Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop - Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to the Stampin Inkspirations Blog Hop for October.

This month we have a Sketch Challenge to share with you. I am a huge fan of sketches and this one was a lot of fun to work with.

I went straight to my Designer Series Paper for inspiration before deciding the stamp set for this project. The gorgeous Painterly Pears DSP caught my eye with it's stunning designs and vibrance.

I then had to work out how to represent the three shapes behind the sentiment. I knew I wanted to use the Darling Duckling check piece from the DSP and was struggling to find something to cut out the shape consistantly. I found the More Messages Dies in my stash and one of the die cuts would work perfectly. I have not had opportunity to use these dies yet either.

The card base is Secret Sea. The Darling Duckling matt layer is from the DSP and the same as the three die cuts under the sentiment. The floral layer also from the DSP. All these layers are glued together. The three oval shaped Darling Duckling pieces were also glue down evenly across the card front.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark™ ink on Secret Sea card stock. Then sprinkled white Embossing Powder over the top and set with the Heat Tool. Adhering it to the card front using Dimensionals. I cut a length of Linen Thread and tied it in a double bow adhering it to the right hand side of the sentiment.

Up next on this months’ blog hop is the wonderful AurĂ©lie Fabre

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you use this fun sketch to create too!
