Hello and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop for July.
Each month a wonderful group of creatives get together to share projects with a theme. Below is an image of the crew and where we live around the world.
This month was are creating using Tic-Tac-Toe whilst CASeing one of our fellow team members. We are CASeing the amazing Aurélie Fabre.
I started my project by selecting the Suite I wanted to use. The Painterly Pears suite had just arrived and I was eager to use it.
I perused Aurélies' amazing work and found the image below. It was the perfect project for this CASe.
Don't you love her stunning card!
I went with Metallic, Line and Bright from the image above.
My card base and matt layer are Basic White card stock. I used Darling Duckling ink and a Blending Brush to create colour behind the die cut pieces on the matt layer. I adhered this to the card base using glue.
I die cut three pears, their stems and three of the pink flower sprays. I die cut some of the small flowers in Basic White card stock and some leaves in Mossy Meadow card stock. I arranged them on the card front and used glue to adhere to the matt layer.
The sentiment was Heat Embossed in White on Mossy Meadow card stock and cut out using the die from the bundle. A length of the beautiful Mossy Meadow & Gold ribbon was cut to go under the sentiment and adhered to the bottom right using Dimensionals. The final touch was adhering six of the Old Olive Sparkle Dots around the central image.
Up next on this month’s blog hop is my talented friend Rochelle Laird-Smith.

Wow Leonie ... this is a Little Bit Yummy! ;-) Hahahaha ... I am so funny (inside joke between Leonie and I). The Painterly Pears are such a gorgeous suite of products and I love what you have done with them. xxx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous project! You did both parts of this challenge really well. Just lovely!
ReplyDeleteThis is so, so pretty! I love the way you used the ribbon to bring in your metallic element. It's just the right touch.
ReplyDeleteI think this project is perfect!
ReplyDeleteAlready, the idea of using the Perfectly Pears suite for CAS(e) the starting card is brilliant. Secondly, I like the use of large pears rather than a bouquet. Finally, I find the result really inspiring and I want to CAS(e) this card CAS(e) mine, isn't that just right? Thanks for sharing! xx
Gorgeous! I love that you added that beautiful ribbon to accent the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteLove your card!! The blending color in the background adds so much, and you CASEd Aurelie's card just perfectly!
