Hello and welcome to the first Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop for 2025.
This month we have a sketch challenge to share with you. I really loved this sketch (see below) and decided it was the perfect opportunity to showcase two new products from Sale a-bration! I love this time of year as we have Sale a-bration! There are so many gorgeous products to choose from this year.
I have created my ward using the Friendly Seagulls stamp set and the Bloom Impressions Designer Series paper. They have worked so well together for my card. card is just so perfect for our Australian summer and the beach dotted with Seagulls. They are cheeky birds always looking to steal something!
The card base and mat layer is Azure Afternoon card stock. The most beautiful blue colour found in the sky. The Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper includes this beautiful sky 12 x 12 piece. So I have used the DSP to cover most of my card. It tore beautifully exposing the white core. The Countryside Corners Dies worked well as my focal layer and the Country Woods DSP had the perfect weathered wood look for my post that the seagull is standing on. I used the small die in the Countryside Corners Dies and cut the piece in half for the post.
The seagull was first stamped in Memento™Tuxedo Black ink then coloured with Smokey Slate and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends. I used the Colour Lifter to blend the Smokey Slate on the Seagull's body to lighten it. I stamped the flock of birds in Azure Afternoon on the central piece. The sentiment stamped in Azure Afternoon on Basic White card stock. The Linen Thread was doubled and adhered across the centre of the mat layer. I tied a triple bow with a length of Linen Thread and adhered it to the right hand side of the card using ™GlueDots.
