Colour INKspiration #177

Hello and welcome to  Colour INKspiration #177.

This challenge's inspiration picture was chosen by Cathy Pinchbeck. I love the colours for christmas inspiration. So pretty together!

Image creedit - https://debbeesbuzz.com/unique-holiday-peacock-theme.../

I wanted to create with these colours for Christmas and the Season of Elegance Suite came to mind for it's coordinating sentiment's and trees. A beautiful Suite.

The card base and mat layer in Pretty Peacock. The mat layer embossed with the Painted Trees 3D Embossing Folder. I stamped the smaller trees in Blueberry Bushel on Pretty Peacock card stock before die cutting and adhereing to the right hand side of the card with Dimensionals.

The Christmas sentiment is cut from Gold Foil and has a die cut Melon Mambo piece glued behind. I stamped the smaller sentiment in Versamak™ink on a piece of Melon Mambo card stock, sprinkled gold embossing powder on top and set with the heat tool.

Behind the sentiment is a strip of Melon Mambo card stock roughed and torn in two to exppose the lighter core of the card. I then assembled the layers with two lengths of gold 1/8 trim with glue and the large sentiment with Dimensionals.

To finish my card I adhered three of the Gold Pearls to coordinate with the gold touches on the card.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you play along with us for this challenge.

Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop - CAS Challenge

Welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop for November 2024.

This month we have been challenged to create a Clean and Simple card, CAS. I had a crafty day with a good friend recently and we had fun creating with the Reindeer Fun Bundle. I loved the sweet Reindeer images and decided I would create something simple for this challenge. I think if you are making a lot of Christmas cards then simple is the way to create!

I have kept the card base and layer in Basic White to showcase the Reindeer in the die cut. On a Basic White card base I stamped the snowflakes in Pool Party  then used a Blending Brush and some Pool Party Ink to shade around the stars for my background.

I then die cut using the circle die from the coordinating dies on the Basic White mat layer. I stamped the reindeer in Early Espresso ink and coloured using the Pecan Pie and Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends before die cutting each reindeer. I used the White Chalk Marker to dot the tops of the reindeer. I glued the reindeer to the background of stars before using Dimensionals to adhere the die cut layer on top.
I stamped the sentiment in Pool Party ink on Basic White card stock and cut it out using my paper trimmer. Adhering the sentiment using Dimensionals.

Up next on this month’s Blog Hop is the wonderful AurĂ©lie Fabre!

Colour Inspiration #176

Hello  and welcome to Colour INKspiration #176.

This challenges sweet inspiration picture was chosen by crew member Lou Kitzelman. It is an Australian Pink Robin and I have never seen one of these beautiful birds before. I am on the look out for one now. The pink and black colouriyng is just so beautiful!

I was so in love with the image above I used it for my inspiration and used the Winterly Tree Tops Bundle as the bird was perfect. Black is not a colour that instantly comes to mind when chosing colours for birds, unless it is a crow of course.

The card base is Basic White as is the top layer embossed with the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder. The Petunia Pop Designer Series Paper was cut then I used Petunia Pop ink and a Blending Brush to highlight the edges of the DSP. There is a thin strip of Petunia Pop card stock glued to the top of the DSP layer. Then a length of the Gold 1/8 Trim adhered across between the card stock and DSP.

I stamped the bird in Memento ™ Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White card stock before colouring with the Basic Black, Petunia Pop and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends. I die cut three of the leaves in Granny Apple Green card stock and also the coloured bird. I adhered the leaves to the back of the bird before adhering it to the card front using Dimensionals.

I mixed some Embossing Paste with Petinia Pop ink with a Palette Knife and used it on the berries that the bird is holding for added texture.

The sentiment from the Perennial Postage stamp set was stamped in Petunia Pop ink on Basic White card stock and die cut using the circle die from the Sending Love Dies. Three of the Gold pearls were placed around the bird to finish my card.

I hope I have inspired you with this colour palette. If you would like to join the Colour INKspirations Facebook Group for more inspiration you can do that here. Hvae a great week!
