Colour INKspiration #60

Hello and welcome to my blog post for the Colour INKspiration #60 Crew Challenge.

You may have come here from the very talented Jan Clothier. I love her card and how she has blended the challenge colours in the background. So pretty!

Below is the beautiful photo for this challenge. We are using Petal Pink, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock and Blueberry Bushel for this challenge.

It is a great choice after looking at all the stunning photos the Stampin' Up!® demonstrators posted of their Greek Isles Incentive Trip! I would like to congratulate all the demonstrators that earned the incentive trip.

Here is my creation using the challenge colours. I was inspired by the photos from the demonstrators on the trip. I chose to use two stamp sets that I have not used as much as I would like to. Varied Vases and  Vibrant Vases. So easy as they have a coordinating punch!

The card base is Thick Whisper White card stock and measures 14cm x 21cm, scored and folded in half. The thicker card stock is a much stronger card base and I use it for all of my Whisper White card bases.

I created the Brick wall using the new Brick and Mortar 3D embossing Folder and a piece of Whisper White card stock measuring 14cm x 10cm. I then used a Sponge Brayer to lightly colour the bricks in Terracotta Tile ink. I then cut this down to 12.5cm x 9cm to fit under the frame.

I created the frame in Whisper White card stock by using the largest and third largest Rectangle Stitched Dies. Such a great technique to get the most out of these must have dies.

I popped the frame up on dimensionals then glued both the frame and brick layer to the front of the card base.

The two vases are stamped in Blueberry Bushel on Whisper White card stock and punched out using the Vase Builder Punch. I love how these two stamp sets have a coordinating punch.

The flowers and leaves were stamped by using the Petal Pink and Pretty Peacock Stampin' Write Markers to colour the outline stamp then the Classic Stampin' Pads to fill the images with the stamps. I cut out the floral image with snips.

I stamped the sentiment on a 8cm x 1.3cm pice of Whisper White in Blueberry Bushel. Then angled my snips to cut the right end of this piece.

I glued the sentiment to the brick background then used dimensionals to pop up the vases and flowers.

I used three Terracotta Tile sequins from the Woven Threads Sequin Assortment to complete the card.

I enjoyed creating this card. I hope that I have inspired you to be creative today.

Colour INKspiration #59

Hi there!

It is time for another Colour INKspiration Crew Blog Hop!

You may have come here from the amazingly talented Kelly Kent!

How gorgeous are the below images for our challenge this time. I love the wintery scenes.
We are using Seaside Spray, Smokey Slate, Very vanilla and Early Espresso for this fun challenge.

I have been enjoying using the gorgeous Bird Ballad Laser-cut cards over the past few weeks.
They are stunning and don't require a lot of work to make a beautiful card. They are the perfect thing to have in your stash to make a quick card.

I started by gluing a piece of Smokey Slate card stock to the back of the laser-cut front.

Next I stamped the bird from the Free as a Bird stamp set in Early Espresso on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I coloured it in with the Seaside Spray and Smokey Slate Stampin' Blends. I fussy cut this image out.

Using the Stitched Nested Label Dies to cut out a Very Vanilla and Smokey Slate label. I moved the larger die on the Smokey Slate back towards the centre of the die from the side to create a label that fit evenly around the sentiment layer.

I stamped the Thank You from the Free as a Bird stamp set on the Very Vanilla label. Then glued the two labels together. Then gluing them to the front of the card. I also glued the Bird to the left side of the card.

I hope you have enjoyed reading how easily this came together. I love the simplicity of this card.

Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop July 2019

Hello and thank you for visiting my blog today!

It is time for Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop for July!

You will be amazed at all the wonderful and inspirational creations these talented people have created.

Today I am sharing a card that I have prepared for some of my recent classes. The ladies loved creating this card with the Daisy Lane Bundle and Free as a Bird stamp sets.

The card base is Melon Mambo measuring 21cm x 14.8cm scored and folded in half.

The white Brick layer is 14.4cm x 10cm. I have used the gorgeous new Brick and Mortar 3D folder in landscape for this layer.  I glued this to the card base.

Stampin' Up!® have a new 3D Embossing Folder Plate (pictured below) to use with the 3D Embossing Folders to help make the 3D designer pop. It is $17.50 (149658)
It certainly works wonders with the 3D Embossing Folders!

I punched 3 separate daisies using the medium Daisy Punch and glued them together to create the flower. I place a Perennial Essence Floral Centre in the centre of the flower. Then let this all dry.

I cut out three leaves from the Magnolia Memories Dies in Vellum Card Stock. One large and two smaller leaves.

I stamped the sentiment from the Free as a Bird stamp set in Versa Mark™ on a piece of Basic Black Card Stock after rubbing it with the Embossing Buddy. Sprinkled the White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool.

I then cut this sentiment out with a Stitched Rectangle Die. I turned the die on an angle to cut out the Stitched Banner end. I glued this in place on the Brick and Mortar layer.

I placed the Vellum leaves in place and glued them to the base of the flower and glued the flower on top. I glued the three pink Iridescent Sequins into position. Always to create a triangle as it is more pleasing to the eye.

I hope you like this sweet little card as much as I do! The Daisy Lane Bundle is so easy and fun to create with.

Friendship Card - June Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog.

Today it is the June blog hop with my amazing friends from around the globe!

This months theme is friendship.

I have used the Beautiful Friendship stamp set. Just perfect for this theme.

I love the images in this stamp set and so far it is my very favourite new stamp set from the 2019 Annual Catalogue.

When I set out to create this card I was inspired by the gorgeous Cath Kidson fabric I have in my quilting stash. I have loved her stunning prints for years and felt that this was the perfect stamp set to create something similar to her trademark fabrics and designs. If you don't know about Cath Kidson make sure that you check out her beautiful designs.

I started with s Seaside Spray card base measuring 21cm x 14.8cm scored and folded in half.

The next layer is Lovely Lipstick card stock measuring 14.4cm x 10cm.

The next layer is Whisper White measuring 14.1cm x 9.7cm. On this layer I stamped the images in Lovely Lipstick, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizazz, Seaside Spray and Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark™ on a piece of Basic Black card stock, sprinkled White Heat Emboss Powder over the top and then used the heat tool to set it. I then cut the sentiment out with one of the Stitched Nested Labels dies.

I wrapped a pice of the White Bakers Twine around the card twice and then used dimensionals to place the sentiment of the left hand side of the card. I tied a sweet little bow around the left hand side of the sentiment with the White Bakers Twine. The last step is gluing the three layers together.

I hope that you are feeling inspired after reading how this card came together.

Hope you have had a lovely day!
