Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - Remember When


Hello and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop for September 2025.

We are continuing CASeing one of the crew members to celebrate five years of the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. This month we are CASeing the lovely Bree Renwick from @craftsommnia. I love her projects so much.



I set out looking for a cute card to CASe as I planned to use the gorgeous Storybook Moments Designer Series Paper. It makes me nostalgic for my Beatrix Potter Books read during my childhood. I just couldn't go past Bree's sweet Otter card, see below. It Is adorable!!





I started with a Basic White card base and mat layer. I ran the mat layer through the Cut & Emboss Machine using the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder. I then glued this to the card base.




I cut the two pieces of Designer Series Paper down glued them together in an offset position and glued to the card base. I then arranged the die cut pieces from the DSP and adhered them to the card front using Dimensionals' I cut he blooms from the DSP and glued to the top of the pots.




I have kept this card simple and have left the sentiment off. Perhaps it will be a baby card or a young child's card when the occasion arises. It came together so easily with the fabulous Storybook Moments DSP. If you haven't looked at this DSP yet, now is your chance. It is very sweet!

Colour INKspiration #195



Hello friends and welcome to Colour INKspiration #195. 

This challenges inspiration image was chosen by crew member Monica Formosa. What a funky and fun design!

I started with a Smokey Slate card base. I then cut a smaller piece of Smokey Slate Designer Series Paper from the Country Lace DSP. I stamped the intricate patterned stamp from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set in Smokey Slate ink all over the DSP. I then used a Blending Brush and Smokey Slate ink to darken the edges of the DSP for some depth. Then glued this to the card base.




I die cut the frame in Smokey Slate using the Gallery Bloom Dies. I adhered this to the centre of the DSP using Dimensionals. I stamped the bloom in Memento™Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White card stock. Coloured the flower with Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker And the leaves in Smokey Slate Blends. Then Die Cutting this piece. 

I cut two of the floral spray pieces in Smokey Slate. The die was from the Beautiful Motifs Dies. I glued these two pieces to the back of the flower piece and adhered to the left side of the frame using Dimensionals. I did trim one of the Smokey Slate sprays.




I stamped the sentiment in Versamark™ink on a piece of Basic Black card stock. Sprinkled with White Embossing Powder and set with the Heat Tool. Use scissors to trim and adhere to the right hand side of the frame using Dimensionals. The finishing touch was adhering three of the Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls around the sentiment.
