Around the World on Wednesday - Monochrome Colour Challenge

Hello and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop for March.

Below is an image of where the crew live around the world. It is a wonderful supportive group off creatives. We love to inspire you each month. you may have arrived here from Cheryl Hamilton

This month we have been challenged to create using colour buddies for our monochrome colour challenge. I decided to use my favourite colour green and create a masculine card. I love the tree image for masculine cards and I teamed it with the Sketched Plaid for a masculine back ground.

The card base, mat layer and paid layer is old olive card stock. The plaid layer was stamped in Mossy Meadow. The focus layer is Mossy Meadow and cut with one of the Nested Essentials Dies. I stamped the tree in Mossy Meadow on Old Olive and fussy cut. The sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink on Mossy Meadow card stock and die cut with one of the Nested Essentials Dies. A double bow in Linen Thread under the sentiment completed my card.

I enjoyed the simplicity of creating with colour buddies and only using those two colours. Looking at all the colours you can buddy hop was fun!

Up next on this month’s blog hop is the wonderful Rochelle Laird-Smith.

Colour INKspiration #183

Hello and welcome to Colour INKspiration #183.

We have another gorgeous colour combination for you for this challenge. The inspiration image below was chosen by crew member Jan Clothier.

I have used the beautiful Natural Botanicals stamp set and CASed a project from the Mini Catalogue for my card for this challenge.

The card base, mat layer and background layer are Balmy Blue card stock. I stamped the images in Balmy Blue and Blueberry Bushel on the background layer. I tied Linen Thread three times around the centre of the background layer before adhering all three layers with glue.

I stamped the flower image in Crushed Curry and the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel on Basic White card stock. I die cut this using a circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I adhered this using Dimensionals to adhere this on top of the Linen Thread. I tied the Linen Thread in a double bow and adhered it to the top of the Linen Thread with a GlueDot™.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope to have inspired you to create using this colour palette!

Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop -Technique Challenge

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop for March.

Each month we create projects to inspire you with different themes. This month we have been challenged to create a water colour background as a technique challenge.

I wanted to create a pretty background with the lovely Thankful Garden stamp set. I just love Cath Kidston fabrics and notions and wanted to create my background with that in mind. After creating my background I decided only to use a sentiment as I couldn't cover up the pretty background that I created.

I stamped the blooms in Melon Mambo ink on Basic White card stock then used Melon Mambo in and water painters to colour the blooms and Pool Party to water colour the white spaces. I glued this layer to a mat layer and then glued to the card base. All card stock was Basic White.

The sentiment was stamped in Melon Mambo on Basic White card stock Trimmed and adhered to the card front using DImensionals. I placed three Melon Mambo Glossy Dots around the sentiment.

Up next on today’s blog hop is the wonderful Danielle Kassing! Click on the next button below to hop around and see every participants wonderful water colour creation
