Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - Seasons

Hello and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop for May. The 5 year celebrations continue for our crew and this month we are CASeing my lovely friend and fellow Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop member, Cheryll Miller. 

I love Cheryll's creative expertise and have been huge fan of her work for many years. She is also a fellow Australian and I love catching up with her at our events. I feel very fortunate to call Cheryll a friend. There is always a lot of fun when we catch up.

there were so many wonderful projects to CASe when I looked through Cheryll's Blog.  I decided to use my new Impressions Abloom Bundle and set about looking for something I could CASe. I love this card that Cheryll made and found it to be very elegant. I managed to make it work with my chosen bundle and used the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder on the background as well as the coordinating stitched die cut oval.

I used similar colours to Cheryll's car as I love the freshness of them together. The card base is Blueberry Bushel with an Azure Afternoon mat layer. The embossed layer is Basic White as is the oval stitched piece that I glued down on top of the embossed layer.

I die cut the leaves and the blooms from Blueberry Bushel, Azure Afternoon and Old Olive card stock. They are just gorgeous die cut elements. Then I cut some leaves from Vellum. I stamped the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink on a piece of Basic White card stock and used Paper Snips to trim. I adhered all these pieces to the card front using glue. Then I adhered the sentiment layer on top using Dimensionals.

I tied a piece of Linen Thread in a double bow and glued it to the top of the blooms on the left hand side of the card. The final touch was three Azure Afternoon Adhesive Backed Dots.

Colour INKspiration #187

Hello and welcome to Colour INKspiration #187

This challenge we are using three of the new In Colours! These colours are simply gorgeous. 

I have created my card using the Thankful Garden Bundle and teamed it with the Damask Designs Embossing Folder. 

The card base and embossed Damask Designs layer are Secret Sea card stock. The hydrangea stamped in Black then using blending brushes to colour the bloom in Timid Tiger and Strawberry Slush. The leaves in Secret Sea. 

I coloured a piece of white card stock lightly with a blending brush and Secret Sea ink before die cutting with the leaf die twice. The bloom and leaves adhered with Dimensionals. A double bow in Linen Thread was adhered to the right hand side of the bloom. The sentiment stamped in Versamark™ ink on Secret Sea card stock. I then sprinkled some white Embossing Powder and set with the Heat Tool before die cutting using a small Nested Essential die. I adhered it to the top of the bow using Dimensionals. The card was completed by placing three Secret Sea Flat Pearls around the bloom.
