Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop | Lifetime Celebrations!

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inspirations Blog Hop for September.

This months theme is Lifetime Celebrations.

I have decided to share a card I made for my daughter and her partner as they have just purchased a home together for the first time. And in my book that is a big reason to celebrate. They are moving in as I write my blog post. They live interstate and we are unable to help them due to Pandemic restrictions. We are looking forward to a time when we can see them and their lovely new home.

I have loved the What A Year Memories & More card pack since I was shown them by my lovely upline Denita Wright-Smee. They are so beautiful and have vibrant and fun colours. They are so easy to create with and this pack will have you creating for almost every occasion.

  1. Glue the red Memories and More card to to a Memories & More large Basic White card base
  2. Use Dimensionals to secure the Memories & More card with the bright colour band at the bottom to the centre of the card
  3. Fussy cut the single house from the Memories & More card and use Dimensionals  to secure to the left hand side of the smaller card
  4. Stamp the sentiment from the Hand Penned Petals stamp set in Versamark™ink on a small piece of Basic Black card stock. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and set with the heat tool. Secure this to the right hand side of the house using Dimensionals and glue
  5. Tie a length of White Baker's Twine in a bow and secure underneath the sentiment using a glue dot

It was a very simple card to make but I love, love, love the fun and vibrancy of the card. The Memories & More Card Packs perfectly compliment whatever you have in your craft stash and perfect to whip up a card in little time. I really need to do more with these card packs.

Around the World on Wednesdays | Changing Seasons

It is time for another Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop.

Each  month a group of creative folk get together to bring you a project with a common theme. Here is an image of where we all are situated in the world.

This months theme is "Changing Seasons"

I have created my project with leaves and have used the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle.

I am using leaves to create my Changing Seasons card as leaves come and go as the seasons change each year. They also change colour, and we notice these changes as the seasons change. There is nothing like walking through a pile of leaves or observing the shadow that leaves on a tree make on the ground.

  1. Start wiht a Sahara Sand card base measuring 21cm x 14.9cm scored and folded in half
  2. Cut another piece of Sahara Sand card stock to measure 10cm x 14.4cm
  3. Cut a piece of the script Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper to measure 9.7cm x 14.1cm and glue this to the Sahara Sand matt layer, paying attention to the direction of the script as it is in portrait position
  4. On Sahara Sand card stock stamp the three leaves. One each in Evening Evergreen, Mossy Meadow and Mint Macaron. Die cut with the coordinating die
  5. Stamp the sentiment inn Evening Evergreen on Sahara Sand card stock and die cut using the Tasteful Label Die
  6. Tie a 11cm length of the Evening Evergreen Chevron Weave Ribbon across the top third of the DSP layer using Glue Dots to secure at the back of the card. Then do the same with a piece of the Linen thread and tie a bow on the right hand side.
  7. Use Dimensionals to pop the DSP layer on the card front
  8. Secure the three leaves to the left hand side of the sentiment label using glue. Secure the label to the card front using Dimensionals on the top of the ribbon
  9. Secure three of the Mint Macaron Genial Gems on the  sentiment label

I can't wait to see ant everyone has created for the Changing Seasons theme this month.

Colour INKspiration #107

Hello and welcome to the Colour INKspiration #107  Blog Post.

The crew have some amazing projects to share with you all this challenge. You can head over to our Facebook Challenge Page here. We would love you to join us in the challenges or even just enjoy the fantastic inspiration on our Facebook Challenge Page.

This challenge we have a gorgeous inspiration photo chosen by crew member Cheryll Miller.

Christine Versluis joins us as the guest designer.

I have created my card using the Natures Harvest Bundle and have cased the catalogue for my card layout. You will find a similar card on page 56 of the Mini Catalogue. I have just changed up a few things after being inspired by the lovely ladies at the Crafty Carrot. I love the inspiration that I find in the catalogues. You always see something new each time you look through them.

  1. Start with a Mossy Meadow card base measuring 21cm x 14.9cm scored and folded in half
  2. Cut a piece of the Fluid 100 card stock to measure 14.5cm x 10.3cm. Use the third largest circle from the Layering Circle Dies to cut out a circle in the centre of this piece of card stock to use on the front. This will save card stock as you're only using the edges
  3. Cut another piece of Fluid 100 card stock to measure 14.1cm x 9.9cm and use the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder to emboss. Use your Blending Brush and Mossy Meadow ink to shade this piece of card stock. You will notice that the type becomes more prominent
  4. Glue the embossed layer to the Fluid 100 layer then glue to the Mossy Meadow card base
  5. Stamp the floral image in Sahara Sand or Crumb Cake ink lightly on piece of fluid 100 Card Stock. With your Water Painter use Mossy Meadow ink to colour the stems and leaves. So Saffron ink to colour the centre of the flower. Then Blackberry Bliss and Rich Razzleberry ink for the flowers. Die cut this coloured image
  6. Stamp the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink and die cut with the coordinating die
  7. Pop the circle shape up on Dimensionals and adhere to the left hand side of your card front. Use Dimensionals to adhere the floral image on top of the circle
  8. Tie a length of Linen Thread in a bow and use a Glue Dot to secure to the right hand edge of the circle
  9. Use Dimensionals to secure the sentiment to the top of the floral image and across onto the embossed layer, keeping the bow underneath

Many thanks for stopping by today!

I hope you are getting on alright at the moment.

I am in my fourth week of lockdown here in NSW.
