Colour INKspiration #196

Hello friends! Welcome to my blog post for Colour INKspiration #196.

This challenges inspiration image was chosen by Lou Kitzelman. Such a serene image and wouldn't you love to own that green beetle?

I decided to use an Embossing Folder with ink bartered on it for this challenge and settled on the fun Summer Splash ink and card stock to do this. Green is my favourite colour.

I started with a Summer Splash card base. I then cut a Summer Splash mat layer. I bartered the Soft Waves Embossing Folder with Summer Splash ink before running it through the Cut & Emboss Machine. I love how this turned out. Fantastic texture for my card.

I die cut Basic White layer using one of the larger Textured notes dies
In Gray Granite ink I stamped the woven circular image in Gray Granite on the lower left of the Basic White die cut piece. I then randomly stamped both the text and splurges from the Elements of Text stamp set in Gray Granite filling in the rest of the white spaces. I stamped the small lever stamp in Summer Splash three times at the top of the woven circular image. I glue the slayer to the embossed mat layer.

I die cut one of the smaller rectangle dies in Summer Splash.  I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Basic White card stock in Early Espresso ink. I cut it down to fit in the Summer Splash die cut piece creating a frame for the sentiment. This layer was adhered to the right side of the card front using Dimensionals.

I stamped the larger branch in Shy Shamrock and fussy cut it  before adhering it to the left hand side of the sentiment using Dimensionals. I tied a length of the Summer Splash ribbon and Linen Thread into two bows and adhered them to the left hand side of the card on top of each other using GlueDots™. The finishing touch was three of the Shy Shamrock Flat Pearls around the sentiment.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope you play along with this challenge or feel inspired to create by my project.

Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop - Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop for September 2025.

This month we have a fun Tic-Tac_Toe Challenge. I really enjoy these challenges. After much deliberation I have chosen Orange, Layers and Torn to create. I have been desperately wanting to use my Timid Tiger Two Toned card stock and this is the perfect opportunity.

I started with a Timid Tiger card base. I cut a pice of the floral Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper  in a mat layer. I then cut a piece of the Timid Tiger Two Toned card stock into a piece slightly shorter than the mat layer but the same width and proceeded to tear it into four pieces to glue on top of the floral DSP to create the ton element to my card. I glued this to the card front.

I die cut a Stitched Circle in Basic White card stock from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I stamped the glass, Orange segment and Strawberry in Memento™Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured the glass using Timid Tiger ink and a Blending Brush, masking off the top of the glass. The Strawberry and orange were coloured using the Stampin' Blends. I used Wink of Stella on all three elements before die cutting them. The orange segment was given a slit to adhere to the top of the glass.

I adhered the stitched circle to the card front using Dimensionals and arranged the elements on top before adhering them to the circle using Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink on Basic Black card stock. I sprinkled it with white Embossing Powder and set with the Heat Tool. I cut the sentiment with scissors. I tied a length of white twine in a bow and adhered it to the back of the sentiment before adhering this to the top of the glass with Dimensionals. Three Timid Tiger Flat Pearls completed my card.
