Stampers Showcase Blog Hop - Fun/Fancy Fold May 2019

Hello and welcome to another amazing Stampers Showcase Blog Hop.

I just love hopping with these very talented Demonstrators!

I chose to use the fantastic Sailing Home Bundle to create a Double Z fold card. This stamp set is perfect for all your masculine projects. Having said that I love anything nautical too! This set was the first thing in the new Annual Catalogue that went on my wish list. I have to say the list is long. There are so many beautiful stamp sets in this new Annual Catalogue.

To create the Card base I cut a piece of Night of Navy to 28cm x 10cm. I scored on the long side at 7cm and then 14cm to create the Z fold. I cut another piece of Night of Navy card stock to 28cm x 3cm and also scored on the long side at 7cm and 14cm.

I stamped the yacht images and the Congrats sentiment on Whisper White card stock and cut these images out with the coordinating die. I stamped the "Set sail in the direction of your dreams" sentiment on Balmy Blue card stock and die cut it with the label die. I die cut the wheel, knot and the rope in Crumb Cake.

I cut two pieces of Balmy Blue card stock to 6.5cm x 6.5cm and 6.5cm x 13.5cm. On the pieces I used sponge daubers and the cloud mask to create little clouds. On the bigger piece I stamped the birds in Night of Navy. I glued these  2 layersdown to the card base.

For the middle section of the fold I cut the Come Sail Away DSP to 6.5cm x 9.5cm and glued it in place. On top I glued the larger sentiment and the knot below.

I then glued the smaller Z fold to the bottom of the card base. You reverse the Z so that the scored 14cm piece is at the left hand side. You only glue the first 7cm of this to the card and the last 7cm that is scored to the right hand side of the card.

I then glued another piece of DSP to the smaller Z fold. This is cut 27.5cm x 2.5cm.

I then glued the yachts, wheel and rope in place. The Congrats sentiment is popped up using Dimensionals. And that is it! Below my post is a list of supplies needed to make this fun card.

I loved making this card. It is the first Fancy Fold that I have designed myself and I am pretty happy with how it turned out too! I hope you like it too!

New In Colours Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to our May Bog Hop!

This month we are showcasing the gorgeous new 2019 - 2021 In Colour Collection.

The colours are divine!

Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, Purple Posy, Rococo Rose and Seaside Spray.
Don't you love them too!

I have used the sweet Time for Tags hostess stamp set that will be available for qualifying hostesses from June 4. I have also punched these images using the coordinating Timeless Label Punch. And the Stitched Nested Label dies. All these items are available in the new Annual Catalogue from 4 June.

I stamped the image in Memento™ Tuxedo Black on Whisper White card stock. Then I coloured part of the image in the coordinating colour using a Blender Pen and the ink pad.

I then punched out the image with the Timeless Label Punch.

I used the Stitched Nested Labels to cut a coordinating piece of card stock to go under the label. And glued these two labels together.

I cut a 7 inch by 3 1/2 inch piece of coordinating card stock, scored and folded it in half to create a sweet little note card.

Then using Dimensionals to pop up the top layer.
And you are done!

I hope that you are feeling inspired to create too. Make sure that you check out the beautiful new In Colour Collection.

Colour INKspiration #56

Hello and welcome to my blog!

We have a gorgeous colour combination for this Colour INKspiration Challenge!

You may have hopped here from my friend Julia Quinn

The photo that inspired these colours is below. I just love this combination and I could have made many more cards with these colours. I may even do just that when I finish writing my post.

I was drawn creating a card with the stunning Stamps and Framelits™ that are part of the amazing Everything is Rosy Product Medley that is available for purchase for the month of May.  This is an amazing coordinating range of products. See picture below!

First I started with a Whisper White card base measuring 21cm x 14.8cm scored and folded in half.

I then cut another piece of Whisper White  10cm x 14.3cm. I used the edge Framelit™ to cut the stunning decorative edge on this piece of Whisper White card stock. I then stamped the Dear Friend sentiment in Berry Bliss on the lower right hand side of this piece.

I then stamped the flowers and leaves. The larger flower was stamped in Berry Bliss and the centre in Fresh Fig. The two smaller flowers were in Melon Mambo and the centre dots in Fresh Fig. The leaves are all stamped in Garden green. I then cut out these elements with the corresponding Framelit™.  I also cut two of the larger leaf sprays and two smaller in Vellum Card stock.

I used glue and Dimensionals to arrange the flowers and leaves onto the lower left hand side of the card front. Then attached this layer of Whisper White to the front of the card base using Dimensionals.

I hope you have enjoyed reading how I created this card and I hope to inspire you to do something creative today!

Have a fantastic week. The weather in my part of the world has been beautiful and winter starts in less than two weeks. It has been lovely and sunny in my craft room and it has been wonderful therapy to be spending time there with the sun streaming in.

Next up we have the fabulous Kim Badelt

Kelly’s Stamping Friends Birthday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog!

It is just wonderful to be part of Kelly's Stamping Friends Birthday Blog Hop!
Thank you for the invitation Kelly!

You may have arrived here from my friend Monique Fielder.

I have made a birthday card using the gorgeous Free As A Bird stamp set. This stamp set will be available from June 4, 2019 in the new Annual Catalogue. It is the prettiest stamp set and I could not wait to add it to my collection.

I have started with a card base of Whisper White 21cm x 13.8cm scored and folded in half.

I have then cut another Whisper White mat measuring 9.7cm x 13.2cm.

I then created a frame from the Rectangle Stitched Framelits™ by positioning the largest die and the second larges die on a piece of Whisper White  card stock and ran it through the Big Shot™.

I cut a piece of the beautiful Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper to measure 9.3cm x 12.8cm.

I stamped the bird and the end of the brach in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with the Stampin' Blends. I fussy cut both of these images.

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Botanical Bliss stamp set in Versa Mark™on the Basic Black card stock. I then sprinkled it with the White Heat Emboss Powder and set it using the Heat Tool. I cut it out with a Rectangle Stitched Framelit™.

I carefully glued the branch between the frame and the DSP layer with glue. I glued the rest of the frame down to the DSP. I glued the bird to the top of the branch and the sentiment layer to the right hand side of the frame and then glued the right side of the branch to that. Then I glued that to the Whisper White mat layer and then the card base.

Finally, I glued the 3 pink iridescent sequins to the DSP.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog!

Please make sure that you hop around and see the other demonstrators Birthday creations.
