Bird Ballad Laser-cut card!

Hello and thanks for visiting my blog today!

Today I have created a pretty card using the Bird Ballad Laser-cut cards and the Floral Essence stamp set.

As it came together very quickly  and the Laser-cut cards are so beautiful I thought I would share it with you

I glued a 13.5cm x 10.5cm piece of Soft Sea Foam card stock to the back of the laser-cut card front with a tiny amount of glue around the frame of the die-cut area.

I then stamped the Floral Essence flower image twice on the Petal Pink Perennial Essence Vellum Card stock in Petal Pink ink. Then punched these out with the coordinating Perennial Flower Punch. Gluing the two together and leaving to dry before placing a gold faceted gem in the flower centre.

I punched the two leaves out of Soft Sea Foam Card Stock with the Leaf Punch.

I stamped the sentiment from the Free as a Bird stamp set in Versa Mark™ on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. Then sprinkled Gold Embossing Powder over the top and set it with the heat tool. Using the small Stitched Nested Label Dies to cut out the sentiment.

I attached the sentiment using dimensionals and then the flower to the left of the sentiment.

The leaves were attached using glue dots after the flower was positioned.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I hope it has inspired you to create today!

Have a fantastic day!

Colour INKspiration #58

Hello and welcome to my blog.

You may have come here from the amazing Jacque Williams!
I love her Floral Essence card!

Check out the gorgeous colours for this challenge. Oh my they are stunning!

I have been waiting impatiently for the catalogue to go live before using the fun and sweet Above The Clouds Bundle.

I started with a  Blushing Bride card base measuring 21cm x 14.8cm scored and folded in half.

The next layer is Crumb Cake measuring 10cm x 14.4cm.

Then I have stamped the images on a piece of Whisper White card stock measuring 9.8cm x 14.2cm.

First I used the white embossing paste to create three little clouds with the cloud in the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. I positioned these at the top third of the card stock. I let the paste dry for over 15 minutes before assembling the card.

I positioned the Hot Air Balloon images on my stamparatus to perfectly align the balloon images. I stamped the balloon in Blushing Bride  on a piece of Whisper White card stock first. Then stamped the Balloon outline in Versa Mark™ then sprinkled the Gold embossing powder over the top and set it with the heat tool.  Next I stamped the basket base in Crumb Cake on another piece of Whisper White. I then stamped the little basket in Versa Mark™ and heat embossed it in gold too. I then punched both these images out with the coordinating Hot Air Balloon Punch.

I stamped the birds on the Whisper White layer in between the embossing paste clouds in Crumb Cake. Then stamped the Sentiment in Versa Mark™ and heat embossed it in gold in the bottom right corner.

Using dimensionals I placed the Hot Air Balloon and it's cute little basket on the card base. Then glued all three layers together.

This was a sweet little card to make using the challenge colours. I have someone special in mind to send it to.

Until next time

Stampers Showcase Blog Hop 3D Creation

Hello and welcome to my blog.

It is time again for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop!

This month we are all creating a 3D item. I thought I would challenge myself to create a Pop Up Box card as I have not made one before.

It was surprisingly simple to create.

I chose the sweet Donoroar Suite to create this Pop Up Box card.

The card base is a piece of Pool Party measuring 8 1/2  inches by 5 1/2 inches. Scored along the long side at 2, 4, 6 and 8 inches then along the shorter side at 2 3/4 inches. I burnished all score lines with a bone folder. I cut down half way along the long side and cut out the 1/2 inch piece on the same side as the down cuts.

I glued the left over tab to the other side to create a box. I decorated the inside and outside of the box with coordinating Donoroar Designer Series Paper.  These pieces measure 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches.

A smaller piece of Pool Part was cut to 3 inches x 2 3/4 inches and scored along the longer side at 1/2 inch and 2/1/2 inches. I burnished these score lines. I glued this to the centre of the box facing the front of the box.

I stamped the Dino, sentiment and palm tree in the colours listed in the Products used section below. The cut them out using the coordinating Dino dies. I also cut out one of the blue Pteranodons from the sweet Donoroar Designer Series Paper with the coordinating Dino Dies.

I stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock on a piece of Whisper White card Stock measuring 2 inches x 3/4 inches. Then using scissors bannered the end. I decorated it with 2019 - 2021 In Colour Faceted Dots in Pretty Peacock and the Lovely Lipstick from the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots.

Also a little Whisper White Bakers Twine shaped into short streamers attached to the right hand side of the banner.

I stamped the grass from the Fable Friends stamp set in Old Olive on a piece of Whisper White card stock 3 inches wide. I then used a Stampin' Blend to lightly colour the whole piece. I then cut the grass down and glued it to the centre piece.

I used 1/4 inch strips of acetate to attach the four elements to the card base. These were shortened to the required length when positioning the element. I have one tip for you at this stage. Make sure that when the card is closed that no elements project further than the card before securing them with glue to the card base.

There you have my first attempt at creating a Pop Up Box Card. I really enjoyed creating it for this challenge.

I hope I have inspired you today.

Have a fantastic week - if you are in the southern hemisphere stay warm and if you are in the northern hemisphere stay cool. The winter solstice happened here of June 21 and it was mighty cold!
