Colour INKspiration #129

Hello and welcome to the Colour INKspiration #129 Challenge.

Twice a month the crew get together to create to a colour palette inspired by an image chosen by a crew team member. This months image below was chosen by lovely crew member Monica Formosa.

What a beautiful image! Makes me want to travel to Italy.

The crew would love you to join us for one of the challenges! It's so easy. Firstly, get some INKspiration by checking out all of the creations of the Colour INKspiration Crew in the challenge album on our Facebook page. Then you have 12 days from today to make and upload your creation to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group. You don't have to have a blog to participate but if you do you can link back to your post. Make sure you use all of the challenge colours. You can also use neutrals such as Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and Basic Black as well as Metallics.

Not a member of the Colour INKspiration Facebook group yet? Make sure that you answer the joining questions. We can't wait to see what you create with
these gorgeous colours.

I love Starry Sky for its depth of colour! It really is such a special blue. I set about creating a birthday card that would work for boys and girls of all ages. The Party Puffins stamp set is such a fun set and so it needed to be used for this card.

  1. Start with a Starry Sky card base measuring 21cm x 14.9cm scored and folded in half
  2. Cut a piece of the Starry Sky Designer Series Paper with the spots to measure 10cm x 14.3cm and glue this to the card front
  3. Stamp the sentiment in Basic Gray ink on Basic White card stock and die cut using the label from the Painted Labels Dies. Make sure that the sentiment is placed to the right side of the die cut piece.
  4. Cut a 10cm length of the Starry Sky Metallic Woven Ribbon. Place this across the top third of the card front and secure with a Dimensional before securing the sentiment layer with Dimensionals. I frayed the ribbon
  5. Stamp the Party Puffin in Memento™Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White card stock and colour the party hat spots with a Starry Sky Stampin' Blend and the feet and beak in a Mango Melody Stampin' Blend. Fussy cut and adhere to the left hand side of the sentiment layer using Dimensionals
  6. Secure three Rhinestone Basic Jewels around the Puffin - this is my Silver element for this project

Many thanks for stopping by today. I hope that I have inspired you to be creative today.

Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop - Fun Fold Favourites

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop for September. This month the crew are featuring Fun Fold Favourites.  I love to make a fun fold and enjoy simple folds so that they can be recreated and adapted by others easily.

The Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper is a favourite in the July - December Mini Catalogue. The cute DSP with the pink bows really is so sweet and I decided to make a card for a young lady for this challenge. The Christmas Scottie Bundle was perfect to pair with the DSP and, we all know, everyone loves a puppy!

  1. Start with a card base measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
  2. Score along the the longest side  the top of the card) at 2", 3 1/8", 5 3/8" and 6 1/2" and fold the card so that the centre piece is at the front
  3. Next cut the DSP - one piece 5 1/4" x 1 3/4", two pieces each of 5 1/4" x 3/4" and 5 1/4" x 7/8" and glue each piece to the five front panels of the card. You will easily see where they fit
  4. Cut a Basic White piece of card stock to measure 2 7/8" x 2 1/2". Stamp the check background stamp in Polished Pink ink on their piece
  5. Cut a piece of Poppy Parade card stock to measure 2 6/8" x 2 3/8" and glue the check stamped layer to the top of this. Adhere to the front panel of the card using dimensionals ensuring that it is only adhered to the middle panel
  6. On Basic white card stock stamp the Scottie Dog in Poppy Parade ink and the bow in Polished Pink ink and punch out using the coordinating punch. Adhere the dog, using Dimensionals, to the front of the check layer and then glue the bow into position.
  7. For the centre of the card back (see below) I have cut a 5 1/4" x 1 3/4" piece of Basic White card stock and stamped the sentiment in Poppy Parade ink before gluing into place

The back of my card is where I am choosing to place the sentiment and write to the recipient.

Bron's 60th Birthday Blog Hop #6 - Tropical Holiday

Hello and welcome to the 6th Blog Hop to Celebrate Bronwyn Eastley's 60th birthday.
This month we are featuring projects with a Tropical Holiday Theme.

Paradise Palms Bundle is the perfect stamp set for this months challenge. I settled on creating a tropical retirement card with the bundle.

  1. Start with a Basic White card base measuring 21cmx 14.9cm folded and scored in half
  2. Cut another piece of Basic White card stock to measure 10cm x 14.3cm. Run this through the Cut & Emboss machine Using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder and glue this to the card base
  3. Cut a 10cm x 10cm piece of Basic White card stock. Use Blending Brushes to blend from Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay to Pacific Point ink on the card stock. Die cut using the 7.5cm circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies
  4. Stamp the three palms in Memento™Tuxedo Black Ink on the left hand side of the circle
  5. Use dimensionals to pop the blended ink layer to the card front
  6. On a piece of Basic Black card stock tamp the sentiment using Versamark™ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and set with the heat tool
  7. Die cut using the 5.5cm x 2.2cm bannered die and then adhere to the right hand side of the circle using Dimensionals
  8. Place three of the green sequins from the For Everything Fancy Sequins around the palms using glue
