What a gorgeous villa. a place we would all love to escape to at this time of year. It has been so hot here in NSW Australia this summer I imagine this villa beside the sea somewhere that there is a cool breeze.

I have created a fairly simple card using a favourite technique, heat embossing, to stamp the floral image and for the sentiment. I have used the Enduring Beauty Bundle for my card.

The card base and main layer are Pecan Pie. The mat layer is Basic Beige. I have stamped the floral image on the Pecan Pie main layer in Versamark™ ink then sprinkled white embossing powder over the top then set with the heat tool. All three layers are glued together. I love the white embossing on the Pecan Pie card stock.

I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Petunia Pop card stock in Versamark™ ink then sprinkled clear embossing powder over the top then set with the heat tool. I die cut the sentiment with the label from the die set. I cut a length of Petunia Pop ribbon and adhered it to the back of the sentiment layer before using Dimensionals to adhere to the right hand side of the card front. I placed three of the Petunia Pop Shimmer Gems around the floral image to finish off my project.

Hope you have a wonderfully creative year ahead. Many thanks for stopping by today!

Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop - Sounds of the Season

Hello and welcome to the final Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop for 2024.

The Sounds of the Season is our theme for this month. The First Noel is my favourite Christmas carol and when I opened the Joyful Saying Ephemera Pack and found the die cut word "Noel", I knew I wanted to create a simple card using this diet cut. I have kept my card very simple.

I cut the tree layer down to fit a card front. This tree is from the "A Little Bit Festive" DSP. I then used Garden Green ink and a Blending Brush to colour the sentiment before gluing it to the card front. I used a Basic Beige card base and a Garden Green mat layer.

The final touch was a length of Gold Twisted Thread tied in a bow and glued below the star on the tree. I love how simple it is to coordinate and use some products.

Up next on this months blog hop is the wonderful AurĂ©lie Fabre!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have been enjoying creating for the season ahead. Whether it is cards, seing or baking, it is so lovely to gift heartfelt homemade items.

Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - Technique Challenge

Hello and welcome to the final Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop for 2024.

Below is an image of the crew and where they live around the world. A wonderful group of creative people who love to share their projects with you.

You may have arrived from my friend Jan Clothier from New Zealand. She is always creating the most beautiful projects!

This months theme is a Technique Challenge. And technique that is new to me. This was a tough one as I enjoy techniques and trying them out myself. The Mirror Image Technique was one that I had not tried before. I chose a sweet cat from the Pets & More stamp set to use for this technique.

The card base and mat layer under the cats is Pumpkin Pie and the background layer a piece from the fun Full of Life Designer Series paper. The cats were stamped on a piece of Basic white card stock.

I used a stamp positioning tool to stamp the cat on the right first my card stock. I then stamped the cat again on my Silicon Craft Sheet then placed my card stock over the top and rubbed to get a good reverse image. I then coloured my cats with a small Blending Brush before adhering all the layers together. The cat layer adhered with Dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped in Summer Splash ink on Summer Splash card stock. I used my scissors to trim down and banner the ends. The sentiment was adhered using Dimensionals.

Up next on this Blog Hop is my friend Rochelle Laird-Smith. Click on the next blog button below to see her wonderful project!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you try the mirror technique soon!
