Colour INKspiration #167

Hello and welcome to CI#167.

This challenges inspiration image was chosen by crew member Bronwyn Easily. Who wouldn't want to live is this gorgeous home!! I love this beautiful colour palette.

The beautiful bloom from the Layers of Beauty Bundle was perfect to use for this colour palette. And so easy to colour with Pretty in Pink ink and a Blending Brush to control the depth of colour. I was in my happy place doing this. The mask certainly helps you create beautiful blooms for this bundle.

The card base is Pretty in Pink and I stamped the small bloom from the stamp set in Pretty in Pink ink around the edge of the card front. I embossed a piece of Basic White card stock with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder. I cut a piece of the dotted Pretty in Pink Designer Series Paper down to create two layers to match the Basic White Embossed layer length. Flipping one of the DSP layers over to dispaly a different pattern. Then I glued the three pieces together before angling it on the card front and gluing in place.

The floral image was first stamped in Memento™Tuxedo Black ink. The flowers were coloured in Pretty in Pink ink using a Blending Brush and the masks. I left the leaves uncoloured. Before securing this to the top layer with Dimensionals I cut out some leaves in Basic White card stock to glue around the bloom to add depth.

For the sentiment layers I stamped the sentiment in Versamark™ ink on Basic Black card stock and sprinkled with White Embossing Powder and set with the heat tool. I die cut the sentiment with a circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I cut a thin strip of DSP and an equal length of the white Diagonal Trim and adhered it to the back of the sentiment circle before adhering to the card front. I finished my card by placing 6 of the Pretty in Pink Shimmer Gems around the blooms.

Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop - Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop for June.

This months challenge is a fun Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge. We were asked to choose three in a straight line from the image below. At first I was tempted to use yellow but settled on blue as I required a sympathy card this week. I chose Texture, Blue and 1, 2, 3.

My texture came from the Blue Twine and the Designer Series Paper. The Blue Twine is something that will be made available later in the year. It was so perfect for this project though! The 1, 2, 3 is the 3 layers on the card front. The stamp set is the gorgeous Country Flowers and I have used the coordinating Country Lace Designer Series Paper as well.

The card base is Misty Moonlight to coordinate with the gorgeous DSP and the sentiment label from the Enduring Beauty Dies is Boho Blue. The sentiment stamped in Night of Navy. The Basic White layer was cut from the nested Essentials Dies. These dies are such a great investment and easy to use with any project or stamp set.

The floral image is stamped in Night of Navy ink and coloured in Balmy Blue, Boho Blue and Misty Moonlight Blends. The pot is stamped in Night of Navy ink and coloured using Night of Navy Blends. I left an area white to give the pot some dimension.

Up next on this months Blog Hop is the wonderful Angie McKenzie
