We have a gorgeous inspiration image chosen by crew member Nikki Spencer. A stunning scene for inspiration. I had so many ideas for this colour palette but settled on making a Father's Day card as the colours were perfect.

The Gone Fishing Bundle has a lovely Father's Day sentiment and the sinkers, lures and hooks are so cute. The Twisted Rope 3D Embossing Folder made the background layer coordinate perfectly.

I really like the sentiment font for this card. It really looks great with the fishing paraphernalia from the stamp set. I havent used a lot of die cuts, and there are many in this stamp set, as just three looked great all hanging together. Three of the Lost Lagoon Tinsel Gems gave the card a water droplet look which I liked. The twine is from the In Colour Jute - Copper Clay.

Many htanks for stopping by today. I hope I have inspired you to get creative for Father's Day or any other occasion.

Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop - Colour Challenge

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop for July 23!! Boy this year is going so fast. Hard to believe we are at the back end of the year. Christmas will soon be here.

Talking about Christmas. This is a colour challenge based on the Hallmark Dream Book for 2023. We were challenged to use at least three of the colours on the front cover of the publication or dive in to the book and find more inspiration and colour palettes there. I decided to use the front cover as inspiration to ctreate a Father's Day card for next month. The only colour I didn't use is Sweet Sorbet. I did peek inside the covers to see what treasures are for sale rather than colour inspiration though. You know that was going to happen if you know me. It is so special!

Wild Wheat | Sweet Sorbet | Pecan Pie | Cherry Cobbler | Pretty Peacock

With Father's Day fast approaching I chose the more neutral colours and tried to create an Argyle Sweater look for my card. Leaving the Wild Wheat for the sentiment layers.

The diamond die cut pieces were just glue on the front as I needed to be able to wiggle them into place. I just used a ruler for placement. The Pecan Pie and Pretty Peacock are fabulous together and they both made the Wild Wheat pop! Pecan Pie for the banners to add contrast to the sentiment layer.

I decided to stamp the No.1 sentiment in Cherry Cobbler on Wild wheat card stock as white would have looked wrong. I die cut this with the smallest Stylish Shapes circle die. it was perfect asnd the stitching added texture to the card. Wild Wheat Jute Trim was the perfect embellishment.

Up next on this months hop is the wonderfully talented Ann Krucek.

I instantly fell in love with the detailed images from the Everlasting Beauty stamp set in the 2023-2024Annual Catalogue. Such pretty images.

I started by stamping the bloom in Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink on a Very Vanilla piece of card stock before using the Water Painter to colour the image. To give the leaves more dimension boith Granny Apple Green and Pretty Peacock ink was applied. The flower centre is Blackberry Bliss and the outside Berry Burst. Such complimentary colours.

I staped a different image from the stamp set on the Pretty Peacock matt layer to give some more detail. The sentiment is Heat Embossed in Copper. The final touch, a lovely Linen Thread bow underneath the sentiment. It all came together simply which honours this elegant stamped image.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. You are appreciated!
