Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - Festive Paperscapes

Hello and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop for November 22!

Each month a group of creative friends create a project for a theme. This month we have Never Grow Up! as our theme. Below is an image of all of the crew and where they are from around the globe. Such a wonderful and talented group of people.

I have a very special friend celebrating her birthday soon and thought I would create a birthday card with her in mind for this challenge. I also wanted to use the new Fitting Florets Collection as she will love the images and Designer Series Paper. 

1. Start with a Balmy Blue card base measuring 21cm x 14.9cm scored and folded in half
2. Cut a piece of Balmy Blue card stock to measure 9.3cm x 13.8cm
3. Cut a piece of Balmy Blue card stock to measure 9cm x 13.5cm and run this through your Cut & Emboss Machine using the Hive 3D Embossing Folder and adhere to the matt layer and then the card base using glue
4. Cut a 9cm x 5cm piece of White Vellum card stock and adhere to the top of the embossed layer using glue in the centre only so the glue won't be seen
5. Cut a piece of 1.8cm x 9.8cm piece of the blue and white Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper. Rough the edges with your scissors and adhere with glue to the centre of the vellum allowing it to overhang at each end
6. Die cut a 7.5cm stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies from Basic White card stock. Adhere this to the centre of the Vellum and DSP layers using DImensionals
7. On Basic White card stock stamp the 8 leaves in Pear Pizzaz ink and then colour them with Pear Pizzaz ink or the Pear Pizzaz Stampin' Blends before die cutting them with coordinating die
8. Stamp the flower in Balmy Blue ink on Basic White card stock and colour with Balmy Blue ink or Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends before die cutting the flower with the coordinating die
9. Arrange the leaves in a wreath on to of the stitched circle and adhere using Dimensionals
10. Adhere the flower on the bottom of the wreath using Dimensionals
11. Tie a 15cm length of Linen Thread in a double bow and adhere to the left hand side of the flower
12. Stamp the sentiment in crumb cake ink on crumb cake card stock and trim with scissors bannering the end. Use scissors to rough the edges of the sentiment layer before adhering it with glue and Dimensionals to the right hand side of the flower
13. Secure three of the Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels around the wreath

Colour INKspiration #133

Hello and welcome to the Colour INKspiration #133 Challenge.

Twice a month the crew get together to create to a colour palette inspired by an image chosen by a crew member. I chose this months image. Such a beautiful colourful image of a stunning bird!

The crew would love you to join us for one of the challenges! It's so easy. Firstly, get some INKspiration by checking out all of the creations of the Colour INKspiration Crew in the challenge album on our Facebook page. Then you have 12 days from today to make and upload your creation to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group. You don't have to have a blog to participate but if you do you can link back to your post. Make sure you use all of the challenge colours. You can also use neutrals such as Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and Basic Black as well as Metallics.

Just click here and ask to join Colour INKspiration, add the group to your favourites and share it with your crafty friends so they can join in the fun too. Make sure that you answer the joining questions. We can't wait to see what you create with 

these gorgeous colours.

Here is my card! I enjoyed colouring the image with ink and Water Painters on Shimmery White card stock.

1. Start with a Coastal Cabana card base measuring 21cm x 14.9cm scored and folded in half
2. Cut another piece of Coastal Cabana to measure 10cm x 14.3cm
3. Cut another piece of Coastal Cabana to measure 9.7cm x cm x 14cm. Run this through you Cut & Emboss Machine with the Pretty Flowers Embossing folder and then glue to the other matt layer
4. Tie a 12cm piece of the Whisper White seam binding ribbon around the centre securing with Tear n' Tape on the back. Adhere these layers to the card base using glue
5. Using Basic White card stock die cut the 11cm x 8cm scalloped rectangle. Adhere to the card front using Dimensionals
6. Stamp the floral image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Shimmery White card stock. Die cut the image out using the coordinating die. Then colour the flowers and leaves using the colour palette and a Water Painter. Allow to dry
7. Pop the floral piece up on Dimensionals and secure to the front of the scallop rectangle layer
8. Tie a 12cm length of the Whisper White seam binding ribbon in a bow on the right hand side of the floral image and secure to the ribbon running across using a Glue Dot™
9. Stamp the Sentiment in Versamark™ ink on a piece of Basic Black card stock . Sprinkle while white embossing powder and set with the heat tool. Use trimmer and snips to shape and banner at each end. Adhere to the top of the floral coloured image using glue
10. Place three of the Matte Black Dots around the floral image
