Social Stamping Blog Host Friend

Hello and welcome to another fun Social Stamping Blog post!

I hope you are having a good week and that you and your family are keeping well!

Friend is the theme for this week and I chose the gorgeous Tropical Oasis Suite to create my card for this challenge. We all could do with a holiday somewhere warm and relaxing! For now we just have to stay home and be patient as much as possible. I have enjoyed watercoloring this week as I find it relaxing. Something I love to do. You could colour the images in with Stampin' Blends as well if that is what you enjoy or have on hand.

  1. Cut a Melon Mambo card base. 21cm x 14.9 scored and folded in half.
  2. Cut two Shimmery White matt layers to measure 14.4cm x 10cm.
  3. Using the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder run one of the 14.4cm x 10cm through your die cutting machine. Then cut this piece down to measure 14.1cm x 9.7cm.
  4. Glue the tow Shimmery White layers together with glue then glue both to the card base with the embossed layer at the top.
  5. Cut a piece of the Shimmery White card stock to 14cm x 3cm. Stamp the friendship sentiment in Saddle Brown Stazon™ ink and die cut with the Ornate Layers Stitched Rectangle Die.
  6. On some spare Shimmery White card stock stamp the flower and two leaves in Saddle Brown Stazon™ ink.
  7. Colour with Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Granny Apple Green Watercolour pencils and an Aquapainter.
  8. Die cut these images with the coordinating dies from the In The Tropics Dies.
  9. Using dimensionals pop the sentiment up on the Coastal Weave layer.
  10. Arrange the flower and leaves to the left of the sentiment and use dimensionals to secure and pop up these die cuts.

Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Monthly Team Blog Hop April

Hello and welcome to my blogpost for Kylie's Demonstrator Training Program Monthly Blog Hop!

I have enjoyed a quiet Easter this year as I am sure you all have. It is a strange thing to be apart from family and friends during Easter. Many people have camped in their back yards and the air has been filled with smoke this weekend. People are staying home enjoying camp fires and BBQ's with those they are in social isolation with. My little villages population usually doubles at Easter with cars towing boats heading towards the river and caravans heading to one of the many caravan parks.

I have enjoyed a few creative days this weekend. I have enjoyed the solitude in my craft room.

I decided to create a card using the Tropical Oasis Suite for this months blog hop.

I love the word Aloha and wanted to create a card using the sentiment die from the In the Tropics Dies as well as use one of the Tropical Oasis Trinkets which are very sweet!

  1. Cut a Pool Party card base to measure 21cm x 14.9cm scored and folded in half.
  2. Cit a piece of Mango Melody card stock to measure 10cm x 14.4cm
  3. Cut a piece of the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper to measure 9.7cm x 14.1 cm.
  4. Glue the DSP layer to the Mango Melody Card Stock then glue these layers to the Pool Party card base.
  5. Using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies cut a Stitched Scalloped Rectangle out of the Shimmery White Card Stock. Glue this to the DSP layer on card base.
  6. Cut a piece of Pool Party Card Stock and a piece of the DSP to measure 12cm x 8cm. Cut one of the label dies out of each of the pieces then glue them together. I have done this for extra stability for the label layer.
  7. Cut the little leaves out of the Old Olive card stock. I cut two of each leaf.
  8. Stamp the Frangipani image twice in Stazon™Saddle Brown ink on Shimmery White card stock. Colour with the Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight Watercolour Pencils and use the Aquapainter to move the colour around
  9. Die cut these flowers.
  10. Cut a Piece of the  Braided Burlap Trim to measure 14 cm and secure using Tear and Tape to the top of the Stitched Scallop Rectangle. Laying it across the card base.
  11. Die cut the sentiment Aloha out of Soft Suede card stock twice. Glue them together for added stability and height. Then glue them to the label layers.
  12. Using a glue dot adhere the guitar trinket to the label below the sentiment.
  13. Pop the sentiment label up on to the front of the card base using dimensionals.
  14. Place dimensionals behind both of the Frangipanis and attach them to each side of the sentiment layer. Using glue dots attach the leaves behind the Frangipanis.

Thank you for stopping by my blog post today. I am grateful for you taking the time to read how this game together. I enjoyed creating this card immensely.

Make sure that you head on over to each participants blog posts to see what they have created for this months Blog Hop. You can click on the links below!

Social Stamping Blog Host - Rainbows

Hello and welcome to my blog post for Social Stamping!

The theme for todays blog host is Rainbows 🌈

This is the perfect time to be putting some bright happy colours out there.
We had a heavy storm yesterday and there was a beautiful rainbow after. I didn't get any photos as I was busy looking at its beauty.

I have made my Rainbow card using the "Seriously The Best" stamp set. I have used blues for the card base to keep the card neutral so that I can send it to anyone to thank them. I resisted the urge to place flowers or a little heart on my card. But something you can do if you are recreating this card.

  1. Cut a card base out of Pacific Point to measure 21cm x 19.2cm. Scored and folded in half.
  2. Cut a piece of Coastal Cabana card stock to measure 18.8cm x 10cm.
  3. Cut a piece of Whisper White to measure 9.7cm x 18.5cm.
  4. Place the Thanks sentiment stamp on your Stamparatus and stamp the sentiment in each of the rainbow colours listed below. To align the sentiment start at the top and then just lift the Stamparatus plate up and move it down one place. Cleaning the stamp after stamping each sentiment.
  5. Glue the sentiment layer to the Coastal Cabana layer and then glue those layers to the card base.
  6. On a piece of Basic Black card stock measuring 10cm x 2cm stamp the smaller sentiment in Versamark™ink. Make sure you rub the card stock with the Embossing Buddy beforehand. Sprinkle with the White Stampin' Emboss Powder and set with the heat tool.
  7. Trim the sentiment with your Paper Trimmer and place it on the card using mini Dimensionals to pop it up.
Please make sure that you head over to Odette Kermode for her Rainbow creation!

You can check out the full list of participants here on Kelly Kent's post . Thanks to Kelly for the invitation to participate in this way and keep us creating and connecting at this time of social isolation!

Thanks for visiting today! I hope you are enjoying an Easter like no other! It is a difficult time to be separated from our family and friends....but very necessary! Make sure that you take care of yourself and others.
