Kylie's Demonstrator Training Program Monthly Blog Hop - February

Hello and thank you for stopping by my blog post for Kylie's Demonstrator Training Monthly Blog Hop.

This month I have created a simple card with the stunning Painted Poppies stamp set.

It was so simple to create and put together.

I started with a Poppy Parade card base measuring 20.2cm x 14.8cm scored and folded in half.

Then a matting layer of Basic Black measuring 9.8cm x 14.5cm.

On top of that another mat layer of Shimmery White card stock measuring 9.7cm x 14.2cm.

I glued all three layers together with multi purpose glue.

I stamped the Poppy image in Memento™ Tuxedo Black on a pice of Shimmery White card stock measuring 8.3cm x 5.5cm. The coloured with Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends. You will notice that I did not colour the whole flower in Poppy Parade. I left some areas of the flowers uncoloured to give a watercolour look.

I glued this to another layer of Shimmery White card stock measuring 8.6cm x 5.8cm. Using dimensionals I popped this up on the larger Shimmery White card stock mat layer.

I love the Thanks sentiment from the Sending You Thoughts Stamp Set that is available for FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a qualifying order of AU$90. I stamped this in Versamark™ on a scrap piece of Basic Black. Sprinkled on some White Stampin' Emboss Powder and set it with the heat tool. I punched this out with the Classic Label Punch and then cut off the left hand side using Paper Snips. I glued this to the left hand side of the Poppy image.

I hope you like my Poppy card!

Timeless Tropical Card

Hello and welcome to my Timeless Tropical Card blog post!

I love anything related to Pineapple's and had to have the Tropical Oasis Suite as soon as I received the January to June Mini Catalogue.

Today we are experiencing torrential rain which is such a blessing after the heat and the fires that have burned for most of our summer. One of the fires in my area was finally declared out last night. This fire has burnt for 74 days and burnt out 499,621 hectares. 312 homes destroyed and 173 damaged. It sounds like a lot but when you compare that to the amount that were saved we are so grateful to our NSW Fire Service and those that came and helped put out these fires from around the globe.

So today as I sit and create I am thinking of being in a beautiful tropical oasis sipping on a cocktail from a Pineapple. Probably a Pina Colada or Mango Daiquiri 🍸

I have used a Whisper White card base measuring 29.7cm x 10.5cm scored and folded in half.

I cut a piece of Whisper White to 10.2cm x 14.6cm.

Cut a piece of the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper to measure 10cm x 14.2cm. I glued the Whisper White and DSP layers together with glue. I then wrapped the Braided Burlap Trim around the bottom third of this layer securing with glue dots and popped this layer up on the crd base using dimensionals.

I stamped the Umbrella in the Saddle Brown Stazon™ Ink on a piece of whisper white and punched it out with the umbrella Builder Punch. I also cut an extra umbrella handle out in Whisper White for the straw. I Also stamped the Frangipani image from the Timeless Tropical stamp set in Saddle Brown Stazon™Ink on a piece of Whisper White card stock. Then die cut it using the corresponding die form the In The Tropics Dies.  I coloured both images in using the Stampin' Blends listed below. I used the Balmy Blue Stampin' Write Marker in a diagonal stripe down the straw. I also cut two leaf images from the In The Tropics Dies.

I die cut the Pineapple in both Daffodil Delight and Old Olive card stock. I also hand cut Daffodil Delight piece of card stock to the size of the Pineapple shape. I glued these three layers together with the Old Olive Pineapple offset then cut to fit the middle layer. I then ran this through the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to create a rough look to the Pineapple.

I cut a piece of Whisper White to measure 7.8cm x 10.8cm. I also cut one of the Stitched Scallop Rectangles from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies in Whisper White.

I stamped the sentiment from the Timeless Tropical stamp set in Saddle Brown Stazon™ Ink at the bottom of the Stitched Scallop Rectangle. Then arranged the Pineapple, umbrella and Frangipani on the top using glue and dimensionals.

I popped this Stitched Scallop Rectangle up on the slightly larger Whisper White piece using dimensionals. I then popped this up on the top of the DSP using dimensionals. There are quite a few popped up layers on this card but the finished card looks great with this amount of dimension.

I hope you are having a good day today and perhaps enjoying some creative time yourself!

Take care!

Stampers Showcase Blog Hop - All You Need Is Love

Hello and welcome to the All You Need Is Love Stampers Showcase Blog Hop!

Valentines Day is almost here so I decided to create with the Come Sail Away Memories and More Card Pack. These cards are so versatile when creating for the men in your life. I really enjoyed how quickly this card came together. And the perfect sentiments for this card were also included in the Memories and More Card Pack! I wanted to create a more masculine Valentine's Day card.

I started with a Night of Navy card base measuring 21cm x 14.8 cm scored and folded in half. I also cut a piece of Night of Navy card stock to measure 10.5cm x 10.5cm to matt under the cards.

I cut the Life is Better with you card down to 7.5cm x 10.2cm. And the striped card at the side to 2.5cm x 10.2cm. I glued both these cards to the Navy card matt and ran some of the Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Bakers Twine around the card where the two cards meet. Securing with  glue dot behind.

I tied one of the anchors from the Sail Away Trinkets to another piece of the twine and secured this twine to the back and the the anchor to the front with glued dots.

I placed the Love You sticker from the Memories and More Card Pack on the bottom left of the larger sentiment. I then popped this layer up with dimensionals.

Such an easy card to create. I truly love all the Memories and More Card Packs in the catalogues. They really allow a lot of versatility when creating and are very cost effective too.

Up next on this blog hop is the wonderful Marita Dreissen from Germany. She has something beautiful to share with you. Please click on the next blog button below to go to her blog post.

Have a fantastic week!

Birthday Bonanza Card

Hello and thank you for stopping by!

I finished this card today and wanted to share it with you all.

I am loving creating with the Bonanza Buddies Bundle. It is simple, sweet and so easy to create with.

This bundle is in the new Mini Catalogue that runs from January until June 2020. If you would like a copy of the catalogue please contact me for your free copy.

I used a Whisper White card base measuring 21cm x 14.8cm scored and folded in half. I then cut another piece of Whisper White card stock to 10cm x 14.4cm and created the animal scene on that.

I stamped, coloured and die cut the animal images. See below for colours used. I cut two pieces of the  Birthday Bonanza DSP. 10cm x 1.2cm for the striped piece and 10cm x 0.5cm for the Bermuda Bay spotty paper and glued them to the base.

I stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay and die cut using the square stitched shape. I cut a small slither of the Bermuda Bay spotty DSP for the pole. I glued this strip to the Whisper White layer and popped the sentiment sign up on dimensionals on top of the pole.

I stamped the three presents in the coloured inks listed  in products below and stamped the ribbon stamp on top in Memento™ Tuxedo Black. I fussy cut these out.

I placed all images on the top of the Bermuda Bay spotty DSP with dimensionals. I placed the Daffodil Delight ribbon around the bottom of the card and attached with a glue dot behind. Then used the same technique to attach the Whisper White Solid Bakers Twine. Then tied it in a bow on the right hand side.

Thank you for visiting my post today. I hope you like this stamp set as much as I do. It is so sweet!

I hope I have inspired you in some way.

Kylie's Demonstrator Training Monthly Team Blog Hop - January

Hello and welcome to Kylie's Demonstrator Training Monthly Team Blog Hop!

Thank you for stopping by. There is a lot of amazingly talented people hopping with us each month. Great for inspiring us with fun and creative ideas.

I love the cute Little Ladybug hostess stamp set and have enjoyed making some cards over the weekend. I decided to use this card for this months blog hop.

I started with a Granny Apple Green card Base Measuring 21cm x 14.85cm scored and folded in half.

I then cut another piece of Granny Apple Green Card Stock to 10cm x 14.4cm and a piece of the green striped DSP to 9.8cm x 14.2cm. I glued these two Layers together and glued them to the card front.

I stamped the small Ladybug's on the bottom left side of a piece of Whisper White card stock measuring 9cm x 13.4cm in Memento™Tuxedo Black.  Then stamping the sentiment on the right side of the Ladybugs. Then I stamped the larger Ladybug issue on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock. I then coloured all the Ladybug's in with the Real Red Stampin' Blends. I cut out the larger Ladybug and used Dimensionals to place it above the sentiment. I glued this stamped layer to a piece of Granny Apple Green card stock measuring 9.2cm x 13.6cm.

I tied the Whisper White Solid Bakers Twine around these layers and tied a bow under the larger Ladybug. Then with glue I attached the three real red flower sequins. Then using dimensionals popped this layer up in the centre of the card.

I had a lot of fun creating with this stamp set and can't wait to get back to my craft desk to create again with it.

Thank you for visiting my blog and make sure you hop around to see what everyone has created for you this month. See links at bottom of post.

The weather has been cooler with a few showers here on the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia. We are so very thankful for the change in weather as over 70% of my local government area has burnt in the past few weeks. We have lost many homes, wildlife and lives. It has been a very difficult few weeks for all Australians. My little coastal village is over 12 Kilometres from any of the fire activity. We have had ash falling and the smell of smoke remains in the air. Burnt leaves fall in our yard. But we are the lucky ones. Our Rural Fire Service has done an amazing job with many other services including the SES, Navy, Army and firefighters from overseas too. So grateful for all these people and the ordinary Australians who have gone out of their way to lend a hand.

Have a wonderful week friends.
I hope you have some time to be creative too!
